Re: Aussie Animals

I don't understand all the fuss. Every year when the footy cards are released if you don't get in and buy a folder straight away they run out. I imagine it's no different with any other type of collectable cards.

Re: Aussie Animals

I just wish I had have known about them, I would have bought as many as I could have afforded when they were available.

I would never have predicted that a folder for kids trading cards would have gone off like this though.

Hate to tell you this folks, but it's your continued outrage and publicising that is driving the prices up.

Everyone is so convinced that they have to have one cos everyone is making such a big fuss, they're getting caught up in the hype!

Let me ask you, in 3 months time, are any of the kids even going to remember these cards? Is anyone really going to care about them?

Really?

Re: Aussie Animals

Woolies are probably the ones auctioning them on ebay.

Firstly you publish a book for children in limited numbers and you put a rude word in the book by mistake (sure) then recall the books.

And what is Woolies going to do with these rude little kiddies books, why, of course, sell them on ebay for a massive markup!

(BTW I don't believe a word I write.)

Just home from Woolies.   Asked about more albums.   Lot of sniggering check-out chicks/chucks.

Interesting

Re: Aussie Animals

....okay for all you ebay entrepreneurs amongst you, those that want to make a buck(SARC)......just go to the number one search engine type in the obvious- plus add the word 'download' or http://images.lasoomedia1.com.au/imageicon/wlw/prod/j00551011/c_005/wlw_prod_j00551011_c_005_r01.pdf

Go to your local print shop like Oriface Borks and ask them to print you of as many as you would like onto card stock..........

prob charge you about .88c/page plus card stock, on 28 pages/album ......total price well over 30 bucks per album.....than if you want it bound add on extra!!

The poster who just posted a 'snigger' just don't get it! Mum's and Grandads and little kids were all excited....now they are pied off.

Good customers have been left with the feeling that they have been sorta 'scammed'

Re: Aussie Animals

paintsew, I'm really sorry mate, but really, if an empty folder in which to keep collector cards is anyone's benchmark for excitement, then I have no words. (that I can write here)

you can still collect the cards, might even be a market out there to sell, trade and swap them like the beanie kids.

Take the kids and the cards to the zoo for the day - make some memories, get some photos, show the kids the animals in real life and talk to them about them.

Spend time with the kids on the onternet or looking through books to find out more bout each animal - goodness, help the kids to make books of their own about the animals - i reckon they'll remember that special time a lot longer than being handed a book.

I bet all the money in my husband's pocket that those memories will outlast any coupon book to collect trading cards in.

Re: Aussie Animals

'sniggering poster'  here.

I believe I am allowed a snigger  #1  It was a joke and you didn't get it &

#2  I bought 2 for $8 for my own grandkids as soon as I saw them

Cards are from my neck of the woods and I knew what was gunna happen with them as soon as they arrived.
