Australia post is ludicrously expensive

Just venting..........Many examples I can think of. Here's just 1.....Recently bought 2 tee shirts. 1 from a Sydney seller the other from an American seller. Postage was dearer for Aust. Post satchel than USPS. How can it be possible knowing that the USPS item is handled by Aust. Post when it hits our shores????? Can't get my head around it!!!!! Suffice to say we are being shafted!!!

Australia has always been the same size. Prior to the last 3 or 4 years, Service was far superior than it is today. Now we have all this wonderful technology and services are getting slower, more incompetent and more expensive. Australia Post needs to have a government inquiry into it. What was once a great organisation is now a total f--k up.

B.S Australi post makes alot of money that goes to their CEO. Sevices are down , Products costly.. cant even be guarenteed that express post will get to its destination on time. . thats if it is within the vastly reduced express post zone.

You are answering a post which was posted in February 2013 by a poster who has not been on the boards for a number of years.

The information was correct at the time and is pretty much correct now.....it is certainly more correct than the information you have posted.

The current CEO of Australia Post is not getting the huge sums that the previous one did.....and Express Post is not as bad as you are making out....there is one poster who is reporting problems at the moment.  The Express Post Zones have not been reduced as far as I am aware.   Can you post the notces of the reduction of the zones please?

Last time I checked, express post *is* guaranteed, so if you have an item that wasn't delivered on time, follow the process and get a refund.
