channel, I acknowledge that the post of mine that you provided a reply to was addressed to another poster. So, when I wrote "I have tried to help you and have failed", I meant that the advice I originally gave brettg has obviously failed you.

Similar thing happened to me, then they refused to ship it because it was a restricted item (wood and bone) and tyhe first I knew was I got a refund. I am still out of pocket, a lot of wasted time and effort, exchange rate losses, and no goods. So the GSP is a ripoff as far as I am concerned and I will not be buying products from ebayers who use it again, because it is not worth the cost and hassle.

At least eBay should calling it "Priority" - my parcel only got farther away from me in the last 8 days, not any closer.
8 days from California to Kentucky, really? That's 33 hours by road, according to Google.
I wish it was possible to cancel the purchase once it's known that GSP is being used

Goods being sent by the GSP will always show the highlighted area in the sceenshot below.

While it might be cheaper to send with USPS, a lot of sellers will not sell internationally without the protection that they get with the GSP.
Also, some of the USPS Priority and Express services are more expensive than the GSP.
Most of us do "boycot" sellers using the GSP but it is getting harder and harder as more and more US and UK sellers are using it.

I totally agree with you. This scam has now cost me extra extra extra time to sift through the sellers that do or don't use this putrid service. And that not only means time lost, it also means chances of finding that desired item are reduced. It also hinders your power in making offers on collecable items. When you ask a seller to please if they could please re-list the item without global shipping, it gives them the idea that you may really want that item. Also when they re-list, someone else can come along and snap that item up as you may be in bed asleep when the seller re-lists.
From a collectors perspective .. .. .. ..some items only come along once in a lifetime. I know as I have a few. I've also lost out on a few.
If you believe in reincarnation then you may have another crack at itin the next lifetime but by that time very rare items are going to be very much more rare.
Global Shipping not only fleeces the sheeple that decide to use it, it also kills the chances of the people who need to navigate around it.
Bad all around exept for those who have shares in it.

Have you tried changing your filter to 'price and postage lowest first'?
GSP will be on the higher end of the scale.
