I received a shipment from the US which used the global shipping program (GSP), the good arrived broken. The plastic cover was for a HP printer, and the 2 hinge pins were completly broken off, it had been packed well with adequate packing to protect it for normal shipping.
I have contacted the seller who says he is not responsible as it left him in 1 peice, i can find no where on eBay on how to contact them regarding this issue.
Its not the first time i have received goods though the eBay GSP that have either been broken or packaging cut open. Does anyone know what steps need to be taken to contact eBay, my veiw is that the GSP shipper probably mis handled it and through a much heavier item onto it.

After some google searches I came across this tread https://community.ebay.com/t5/Archive-Selling/Process-for-Filing-a-Damage-Claim-via-GSP/td-p/2609561...
I have made a return request following the steps within that thread, and see what will happens next. Will update once I hear something back.
Great, thanks for the info. I may put in a claim myself for the partially craked LP that I just recieved the day before yesterday. That is very helpful.

I am not sure that the instructions are current 4channel.....the seller is in the USA, the buyer in Canada and it was posted on the US boards in 2016.
I am sure there were more recent instructions posted on the Au boards just recently which involved contacting the GSP direct.

It's not the only thing partially ' craked '.

So, it appears you had no knowledge of the returns process with the GSP.
You only had to say.

Best you can do - must be the effects of 5G.

4channel is the only person we know who says he regularly buys through the GSP.
We thought if anyone knew anything about the returns process, it would be him.
Apparently not.
We were asking him for his expertise and knowledge.

Hi dvd.horder, I just replied to *tippy*toes* . I've hardly ever used the Pitney Bowes' GSP myself. Four times maybe. I have a great success rate with having sellers change to USPS or the UK equivalent. . As I mentioned on this thread, I just had something arrive the other day that had GSP as the carrier. I snapped it up on "Buy It Now" because I didn't want to take the risk of someone else getting it while waiting for the seller to get back to me. Plus it was at a good price. Well, the cover spine has torn right through and the record has a split on it. There was one other being sold by a seller I usually deal with but his was more pricey. Looking back and with the effort ahead of me to rectify and time wasted, I should have gone with him.
Oh yeah, LOL, " the school yard all over again" Well, you know what they say .... "With their friends they have perceived strength but on their own they have confirmed nothing."
BTW: I hope that everything works out for the OP ( modit_bigfoot_com ) as well.
