Hi All, l bought an item on the 7th of Oct. prior to going into hospital on the 22nd Oct, item: 321542029314 when the item finally arrived after being "lost" by the courier co. for a week, l find that there is no hard drive installed, the ltem Specifics DO NOT match those mentioned in the posting, no cd/dvd/rw/drive, the model no. for the Laptop does not match up and the MPN (manufactures part number) do not match up. Display size states 15.4' but is 12.1' which is okay with me, l have not got a problem with that issue. l paid through PayPal, as l always do.
Should l open an Item Not As Described or what ? After emails to Seller, he has gone quiet. Or could be very busy looking for my hard drive, hardly. lol, Any help appreciated, thanks.

You should have received what was described. You didn't, clearly. Open a case ๐
The seller stating no returns does not override your buyer protection rights.

If the seller is quiet, they could be enjoying a long weekend. Open a case to get them back to business.
your description sounds very much like they sent you the wrong one entirely, or are very much less than honest.

I forgot to mention, Bios shows unit runs at 1.4 MHz NOT 1.7MHz
Very little facts here match up with what l have got. Seller states No Returns, but it is listed under the USED listing, which means it must run, correct ???

If you paid with Paypal, you need to open an item not as described case.
as you did get something.
You can start that through your purchase history, on the right of the item more actions, then resolve a problem.

Quote: Display size states 15.4' but is 12.1
The listing title says:
Acer TravelMate 370 12.1" 40 GB Pentium M 1.7 MHz 1GB Ram
Item specifics:
Laptop Size: | 12" |
Item description:
Even for the 12.1" screen and or keyboard worth the price just for the parts.

Please note sometime the screen flickers (flicks turns to white), easy way to fix either close the lid and re-open or restart the unit.
This is why selling the unit cheap
Even for the 12.1" screen and or keyboard worth the price just for the parts.
A warning something is not quite right with it?

But those parts would have to be sold. The OP wanted a working machine.
if it doesn't have the CD drive, and the wrong speed, it is not what was sold.
No hard drive, either. If these things are not spelled out, then it is not as described.
Attic-case, with an item not as described case, you are likely to be asked to return the item to the seller by Paypal.
bear that in mind, too. Then they give you the refund of the initial payment you made. But a return is likely to be at your expense.

True.. but does anyone expect a fully functional laptop for less than $40?
The seller has a couple of comments that sounds like the laptop isn't 100% working properly.
Bad description all round by the seller
Condition: USED:.... The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear, but is fully operational and functions as intended.
That is what the buyer could expect then.
