I've found Global to be inflexible, expensive and frustrating. I've just had an item sent through it and of course it's under multiple carriers and the number I was given by WNDirect cannot be tracked. I've therefore paid for a Priority Mail service and received what was First Class without the tracking. I live in Australia and First Class International through the good old U.S. Post can now be tracked here. It is SO much better than what I just experienced and costs me so much less, but when a seller locks themselves into a Global listing, it appears that they can no longer override the invoice so I've just paid double for this rubbish! So not happy!!

Possibly slr, it was useful with a fair bit of input from other members - but for some reason my history doesn't show me ever starting that thread........"scratches head"

Padi, if it's not in your history, then the mods, in their ulltimate wisdom, have deleted it.
Maybe the conversation, perhaps with 4channel got a little heated?

SpoilerNow I can't find it.................
I don't think you had started that thread. It was a reply to somebody else's comment if I remember correctly, so you would have to go through all your posts to find it...

No I don't think so Stawks, the thread was not too controversial at all if I remember correctly.
Papermoon, it was titled something like "GSP put into perspective" and if that's the one Stawks is talking about, I definitely started it.

You are right. Here it is: https://community.ebay.com.au/t5/Buying/Global-Shipping-Program-put-into-perspective/m-p/2165256/hig...

Nothing got heated there imastawka. The thread has been found.
Even though Padi went to a good effort to write it out and made some good points on it, it didn't really cover the horrid side of GSP.

Ebay is partnered with pitney bowes and someone is making a HUGE profit from this so called priority shipping
i have done extensive research , as the items arrive in australia pitney bowes request the carrier to ship ECONOMY . Saving a big load of money ! So who is benefiting from this ?
I want the service i paid for ..PRIORITY .. not too much to ask is it ???
Hi victoriandoll2 , GSP is an arrogantly and rudely inserted middleman. Inserited with the arrogance of any greed based unwarranted middleman service. Just imagine one day that in order to see your doctor, you have to pay a consultant to assess your situation before you'd even be allowed to speak to the doctor. Same thing! Someone dreamt up a way to make money. And they're creaming it now.

That consultant has been around for awhile now it's called $60
