Ebay removing unfairly Neutral feed back

I purchased from a seller in the UK the listing stated priority international shoipping and had dates of 9 -15 days. So on that basis I order the item, (100gram item).

Seller  it was then sent via Global shipping,  it didn't arrive by the due day,  so I waited , then on the 25 day, I tried to open an enquiry on the Global shipping and  it said I could  not do so until the 25th, so I waited again and did it again  later got the same message  about not until the 25th , even thought it was after that day, I contected seller  seller  not very helpful, put the ball back in my court to chase up.

Eventually I got the needed item 28 days later after order.

I left neutral feed back and stated shipping was slow. Seller responded to feed back and claimed it was only 20 days  sarcastically to Australia.  This is not what his listing said which I purchased the item on.

I replied to that. Seller must have reported me to ebay as my feed back has been removed.

Is this Global shipping one of Ebays ventures of  getting into to shipping and  you are not genuinely allowed to critisise?

Re: Ebay removing unfairly Neutral feed back

Shouldn't eBay always remove 'unfairly Neutral feed back'? Or unfairly negative feedback?

Unfair feedback SHOULD be removed. Oh what a difference a couple of commas make. Pity people don't seem to use them.

Didn't you people know that punctuation just isn't fashionable in the forums? Well, that's the impression I get when I read a lot of posts!

I realise it is ebay (to some extent) that determines the dates although from everything I have read, the sellers can opt for varying handling days to extend the estimates a little.

This is true, and is often a recommended practice (I will recommend it, also, and have done so often 🙂 ), but it's a bit of a double-edged sword, in that extending handling times solves one problem, but creates several others.

I have a 2-day handling time, so I haven't extended it out by very much at all (I ship domestically only, though, so I don't have to worry about 4 week variations in delivery timeframes, which I experience with international sales I have elsewhere).

By and large 2 days seems to be the 'sweetest spot' for me, but at the same time it means buyers are still being misled, and it results in quite a few messages that range from asking me if it's possible to post any faster, to telling me to (I have to bite my tongue when the latter happens - if I was able to list with my actual handling time, which is 0-1 days, buyers might not be under the impression I take a couple of days to post, and [some] might choose not to raise my hackles by commanding I do something that will be done regardless).

I've come to realise that this impression buyers get (from the ETAs) that I'm a slow poster costs me some sales, too. That, I kinda don't mind too much, for a variety of reasons, but it means extending handling times has (in my experience and observation) just as many cons as pros.

Or if you insist on correct use of the comma

I can only assume that misquoting what I actually said means you have some sort of private agenda.
