There is a listing of a used yellow Casio G6900A-9, anyone who owns G6900 would know it's a fake. I even confirmed with the guys on WUS. Just compared the lettering and colour with a real G6900A-9, it's so obvious.
So I message the seller, letting him know that it is a fake if he didn't know. Nothing happend.
But it's obvious the seller knows it is a fake, he used the classic scam seller technique of seller fakes by using blurry pictures so that the average would be fooled more easily, but the watch does even have the lettering of "casio" where it should be... lol
Then I reported to eBay and messaged the sellerbut nothing happened. So some ignorant innocent buy is going to end up with a fake watch and eBay does do anything about it....

Hells Bells! If I was on 6 figures I'd be collecting antique and NOS Longines, Rolex, Patek Phillipe, etc., etc.

Yes I knew that,I was just waiting for them um I mean him to reply.
So he has reported himself to ebay for selling fake watches then haha

Aren't you supposed to show a photo of the actual item when selling something pre owned?
If you earn 6 figures, why are you flogging off junk on eBay? It seems that you have nothing but trouble, so why bother?

The six figure job you mentioned..... of course you have to share that with kuromusha... don't you !! - About the fake watch, which is what this thread is all about, and I think that auction finished some time over the week-end, if you were so worried about the three bids that had been placed on the watch, and the eventual successful bid being un-aware of the authenticity of the thing. IMO you should have placed your own bid (somewhere close to retail value) and won the auction and saved the day. You could have then applied your knowledge of fakes, and eb policies and opened a successful dispute - AND kept the watch.
Pass the saki please.

Real investment bankers wear Swatch. Real Quants wear Casio.
Once you become really satisfied with your career, there is really no need to engage conspicuous consumption. People who buy expensive watches (and wears them) are really the insecure ones.

That's not what I think, that's why you guys seem to convey is acceptable on eBay. I personally think such behaviour is disgusting, unethical and totally illegal. But you guys seem to think otherwise. Hence why I made this hypothetical question to ask you if it's okay. So don't question the questioner. Classic.
It doesn't matter what you or anyone thinks or does because in the long run it's all about what eBay allows.
As long as it's bringing in money they don't care whether items are fake or if they even exist,(they bring in
money and as they claim to have no input into the transactions so they can not be held responsible).
We used to have a Hijack Hunters thread so that we could post scam listings on it to warn others,(it was shut
down).
There are currently over 350 fake listings for Rainbow Rose seeds,(they can not be grown from a seed).
Then add the 100's of other fake listings for Blue Strawberries,Purple Tomatoes and different coloured
Watermelons.
All are allowed on the site as they bring in money,(none are ever removed now after been reported on a
regular basis).
Fake watches would bring in even more in fees,(so why would they remove them?).
Check the Go Karts and Pocket Bikes categories on any weekend and you see the Chinese scammers
listing scam items at unbelievable prices,(they do it as they know there are enough gullible members on
eBay to make it worthwhile).
These are all items that stand out as fakes and they don't get removed,(so watches that look fine to them
have no hope of being removed).
And courts have taken a dim view of eBay's reponse to counterfeit merchendise and eBay has been sued a number of times over their negligence to police their marketplace. Thus, courts have held it is eBay's responsibility to police their items. User reports should carry more weight if they don't employ enough people to individually approve the listings.
