So i have had a bad experience i dont blame the seller all i can blame is ebay and auspost really so i ordered something that had tracking
it was marked as delivered i know for a fact it wasnt auspost try to claim its stolen i know they never delivered it since i was home all day and check that mail nothing else has ever been stolen no one is stealing my mail just happens to be my most expensive item they say it was delivered by a auspost driver that never normally delivers my mail. Ebay Guarantee doesnt cover anything once a item has been marked delivered they wash there hands with it. So Ebay buyers are paying extra money for tracking to lose there gurantree if a item flags as falsy delivered So why would a ebay buyer ever pay more for tracking your pretty much paying extra for less coverage if you just select no tracking at least there is chance you will get your money back if item doesnt arriive

@fastbuyer777 wrote:they just say delivered in mailbox i realise it would be senseless to allow buyers to claim on delivered items because people would lie and make false claims but its also sensless that Ebay Buyers are paying extra for less coverage whats the point of even having tracking numbers if all someone has to do is tick delivered on there work tablet then thats it there is no more guarantee pretty much any time you buy something with a tracking number you are gambling with your money because no post man is going to risk there job and admit to losing your package all they will do is mark items as delivered even if its not . or drive past your house mark the item as delivered keep it then claim its stolen
Yeah, I'm sure a postie could do that day after day and keep their job...
AP's tracking is a pretty robust system - one missing parcel isn't proof that something is wrong with it or that staff are corrupt. And the fact that the purchase was made through eBay is immaterial at this point.
Probably best to just follow it up as has been suggested.

yes im going to discuss it with auspost more tomorrow its strange because this item come from vlllawood straight from the distrubution centre to my house when it normaly would travel threw the local post office first before reaching me it is also marked as delivered but not to the right suburb the one im next to i would say this was some kind of gps error but all my other tracked items show my suburb as the delivered area

That is all evidence in your favour - I'd jot all those down in a list so that you can touch on each one without forgetting anything when talking with Aus Post and if they don't find it compelling to have all those anomalies on a tracked shipment, get in touch with the postal ombudsman and makes sure they are aware of all the discrepancies.

These are not necessarily anomalies....there are a lot of strange things happening in our postal system at present as the system tries to cope with the pandemic.
My parcel contractor works out of Kingsgrove and still does but I have had parcels delivered direct from the mail centre at Chullora. None of these deliveries go anywhere near my local post office unless they cannot be delivered to me and need to be left there for me to collect.
If your parcel is showing as being delivered to the next suburb to you it is probably at the post office in that suburb. A driver who is unfamiliar with the area may have decided it was the closest to your address....try ringing the PO in that suburb and see if they have your parcel.

thats the thing nothing from my post office has been lost ever even during the pandemic i went to my local post office they refuse to look for it they say its delivered and contact customer service im gonna grill them about it tomorrow more on the phone

But have you rung the PO in the suburb where it is said to have been delivered.
There is no point saying nothing has ever been lost from your local post office....this pandemic is unique and you cannot compare deliveries now with anything ever experienced before in out lifetime.

there is no PO in that suburb its only a small area but auspost customer support say it was delivered to my mail box or thats what they claim it wasnt though. the fact still is buyers are paying extra for less coverage it makes no sense

If it's been delivered to a different suburb to what was addressed, and you can see that on tracking, it should be an open and shut case - tracking is your friend.

What exactly do you mean by "less coverage"? It is this comment that doesn't make sense.

I read it that "less coverage" meant that because there was tracking, which shows delivered, fastbuyer777 would lose an MBG dispute. If there was no tracking and they opened a dispute, they would win due to no tracking.

what i mean is im paying money to lose my guarantee if a little dot on a screen marks something as delivered even if its not.
imagine this you buy a pizza from dominos the tracker says delivered but you dont have it you call the store sorry theres a dot on the screen cant do anything for you no pizza no refund.of course not they help there customer and try find a soultion .
you buy a fridge from bing lee a little dot on the screen says its been delivered but you dont have the product what do they do help the customer and find solution.
Ebay you buy a product expecting it soon a little dot on a screen says its delivered but you dont have it
Ebay Sorry we cant do anything no refunds no support case closed a little dot on a line on the computer screen says you have it.
it should be illegal for them to call it a money back guarantee it should be called the maybe money back guarantee you might get your money you might not depending on a dot on a screen. do you think anyone would shop with ebay if they knew the risk of course not any other company would support there customers.
