I bought a Samsung s6 and a Samsung s6 edge from a seller, at a very reasonable price. I paid via bank transfer outside eBay, because it was posted as Local Pick up only, and I asked the seller to post. In the list it was mentioned that the price is for 1 phone each, and I can choose one of my liking, but I contacted the seller through text (his number was provided) that I will pay for both with double the price and postage fees, and we agreed. But when I opened the parcel there was only one phone inside, eventhogh I paid for 2 phones. I tried contacting the seller, but no reply and does not pick up my call.
I know eBay wont help me as I bought it outside eBay, so is there anthing I can do? Can the police help? Or the ACORN? ***I once got scammed on Gumtree for a smaller amount $150, the police told me to report to ACORN, and I did, but it has been a month now and still no responce from ACORN***. So can I rely on the police or the ACORN to help?
I have the seller's name, number and bank details, can I do anything with these?
Please suggest me what to do, did you ever face in a similar situation? If so what did you do to get your money back?

True. It can help to have a solicitor in the family though. They can offer pertinent advice.
The boards here are great, too.
Paying by bank deposit isn't recommended...Paypal with a credit card broadens the options for a claim over just the eBay guarantee, that's how I pay for stuff here.

I'm sure the OP probably realises this now.
As they haven't been on the boards since last SEPTEMBER, I doubt they will see your advice, however.

Still good advice though 😛
If I were the first to bump...I would have moved on...too good to pass up.
I'll get back to my good quality chocolates.
