High postage costs from America?

Can anybody tell me why postage is double what its used to be to purchase its from America???

I agree. It borders on the ridiculous. A simple example: a long, nylon pancake spatula from one seller is AU$9.06 for the item, plus $2.48 for postage, while most ads are like AU $19.75 for a similar item, and $29.97 first class postage.

Buy from one seller, then? It's not hard.
Any figures you have given are irrelevant to the OP.
Because, after SEVERAL YEARS, they are always going to be more.
Roll on July. I will wear the dysfunctional new board layout just to not have these threads resurrected!

I bought mine from IGA for about $4.......with no postage cost. I can understand why someone would want to buy some things from overseas, but a pancake spatula that are a dime a dozen in the supermarket?
