Hi all,
I bought a 2 new phones from a ebay seller. Dispacthed phones from Sydney location. However the invoice I have received is in simple plain text with no seller info or gst component.
Under FROM, it says contact us via ebay messages.
Under order details it just states the total amount and sub total amount and no gst amount.
I thought i am buying from a Australian Seller and would use the invoice to claim TRS at airport. I have sent multiple messages to seller but no response back.
I have anothe issue with the charger provided but i hope i get a reply from them soon.
Has anyone faced this type of issue? what ca i do here.
Cheers

Your seller is registered in Hong Kong so you are unlikely to get a tax invoice invoice from them. Did you read their feedback before buying the phones ? They have a number of negs for fake/refurbished phones, electronics are always best bought from B&M stores or reputable on-line stores, not online from Asian sellers, where you won't get a valid warranty.

Yup looks like Asian seller having warehouses in Australia..escaping the GST process.
Fingers crossed.. I shall wait for their reply though. Atleast they could do that.
Thanks for your response.
Cheers

If the seller is registered in Hong Kong he cannot have an ABN....that is only for businesses registered in Australia.
As far as the GST is concerned, you have no idea of the seller's status....he could well be paying the GST when the items are imported into Australia.....or the goods could be held in a secure facility and import charges are levied when the goods are sold.
There is also the possibility that the seller is not registered for GST in Australia so cannot collect it from the buyer.
That is the buyer's good fortune as ultimately the GST is paid by the buyer, not the seller. The seller collects it from the buyer to remit to the ATO

I despair...
There are so many buyers who simply ignore all the warning signs, and don't realise that there's a difference between a reputable brand having their product made in China under strict conditions and to their product specifications, with each component made of raw material that is fit for its purpose, and which, upon being sent to Australia, undergoes testing to be sure it complies with the necessary standards in Australia before that product is released - and an unbranded similar-looking product made of the cheapest possible components in the cheapest possible way in China without ANY of those specifications, requirements or standards met.

I'll provide ABN and tax invoice but only if requested.
It has never occured thus far.

Looking at the items you are selling I would not think there would be many buyers needing a tax invoice.

True.
Tends to only be customers in my shop.
Surprisingly, it is the prints and linen towels.
