Item not received.

I bought an item for nearly $50 2months ago, I waited as per the instructions on postage and exepted it may take a while for the item to get to me as it was comming from over seas. I contacted the seller to track it down (it had tracking) and he responded that it could not be found. Not his fault is he is a genuine seller but he refuses to refund me. Is this exeptable?

Assume you paid with paypal.

It states you have 45 days from date of payment to open a dispute.

NEVER listen to a seller that strings you along with promises.

If you funded the payment with a credit card then call you bank and do a chargeback.

Also if it is not past the 60 days since date of purchase then leave neg feedback to warn others.

Unfortunately he keep asking to wait for the postage to confirm is lost so he can refund the money . I lost my chance to open dispute or even leave a feed back. The item removed from even my list. Lost the item , lost my money about $200 , lost my right to open dispute , all because I believed this seller. What can I do .

Nothing. Unless, as sparklz said, you funded the purchase with a credit card. NEVER let sellers string you past the 45 day Paypal limit. EVER.

You have probably done your dough, and there is nothing eBay or Paypal, or the police (since you bought from overseas) can do. Chalk it up to experience, and don't let yourself be scammed in future.

I'm so sorry. That's a horrible thing to have happened, but Davewil is ciorrect, there is nothing now you can do, unless the chargeback option is viable through a credit card, but I suspect that too is not. (worth a try though)

Please, in future remember to never let any seller string you along past the 45 days to open a dispute (and always pay by PayPal or another safe payment method, NEVER bank deposit) no matter how nice the seller seems, even if it's the Pope!

Just remember, you have 45 days to open a PayPal dispute for Item not received or Significantly not as described.

You have 60 days in which to leave feedback..

If you get any concerns about any transactions in the future, come back to the boards and ask as soon as you think there may be a problem so that experienced members can advise you and guide you in the best course of action whilst working within the eBay guidlines.

12th of May 2012 =19 months.this is Australia not America
