Pick up item

I wanted to buy an item and it is a pick up locally. The item was listed on Gumtree a while back and I was thinking of buying it then but had a slight discrepancy with seller so forgot about it.
If I buy item she will figure out its me and could dig her heels in and possibly cancel the sale(I'm not sure if she can do this)
I do have to go and pick up and am a bit apprehensive about it. She seems very fussy and demanding i. e. argued I couldn't take item on bus as it was too large which was rubbish. You can also make offer on item.

Re: Pick up item

Michelle will take absolutely no notice of your advice 4channel.

She has previous form for threatening suicide if a seller does not do what she wants.

Sad but true, 4channel, sad but true. Regular members have given up trying to help because she just ignores everything suggested, despite our best efforts.

I've always found Michelle to be very polite, pleasent and good value!  I have also seen her reply sensibly to some advice from other members, possibly springyzone who is a well-measured poster here.

I believe she has acted on what has been suggested.

I like her posts as she has had some issues with sellers that many of us have had too.

And if she mentions pesky neighbours or cats (as someone said a while back) then that's fine. Gives a colourful picture on the story and I happen to like cats.

All good.

I have already made 2 offers on the item but no response. I have a good mind to go round to her house and confront her about it. She must have my details from Gumtree still.

So, not only would you confirm she was right to choose not to sell to you, she'd have all she needs to slap you with a restraining order if you did.

Re: Pick up item

I'd have every right to take her to court for defamation of character and get some money of her she must have tons as she sure isn't interested in selling me the item. The item happens to be for a grand kid of mine not that anyone would care particularly. Anyway this is getting a bit of topic.

If you did that to me, I would have the cops on you before you could blink. And it wouldn't be irrational - it would be a reasonable response to harrassment and/or threatening behaviour.

And before somebody says that would be an overreaction, I refer you to the word "confront".

Re: Pick up item

How has she defamed you?

Apart from the fact that not replying is not defamation, even if you went round there and copped a gobful, as it wouldn't be publicly disseminated, it wouldn't be defamation.

Harrassment, trespass, maybe, but not defamation.
