Just want to confirm something.
When a post is removed and appealed does the letter acknowledging your appeal state
Regardless of the outcome of this review, the post will not be reinstated?
I got a message from another person telling me a post would be reinstated if it was found to have nothing wrong with it.
Also
If as a seller you had feedback you did not like and boasted about it going to be removed and it was removed then the buyer that left that feedback appealed the decision stating there was nothing there to breach FB policy and so it was then reinstated, would you as the seller be annoyed at ebay or the buyer?

I don't know about forum post removal, but feedback removal is not that easy. eBay removes feedbacks according to their policy not because sellers asked them to do.
When sellers ask eBay remove negative feedback they will check the feedback and remove them when only they found the feedback is contradict to the item descriptions.
For example if a buyer leaves negative feedback with a comment "item had a scratch" and the seller had item description in the listing saying "this item has a scratch" the feedback will be removed.

Every slap I've appealed has stated explicitly that regardless of the outcome the post wouldn't be reinstated.
So, yes, to 1
No idea about 2.

Pretty sure the message from the mods after an appeal is along the lines of
The action will be reviewed. If post was removed in error, an email will advise of this.
Regardless of the outcome of this review, the post will not be reinstated. ๐
Why would some think they are above others and expect to have a removed post put back anyway when other members do not have this done, No matter how great they them self might think they are. :^O
And as for the other I would be annoyed at ebay for not getting it right the first time by removing it when it should not have been removed to start with.
Might be a bit of an embarrassment to the one that was boasting about it getting removed only to see it back again. :^O

it is all a bit curious, thanks for the replies so far.
Hopefully someone can shed some light on it

If feedback is removed which does not qualify for removal, it will be reinstated when it is appealed by the person who left it in the first place.

Hi Chuck this should answer your question
This is the normal reply from the mods when you appeal a slap in the first instance, the last sentence says it all.
Thank you for writing to us about your post removal. As a general rule we
do not act on this type of request unless there is an obvious
misunderstanding. If we determine that your post was removed in error,
you will receive an email from the moderation team letting you know we've
made the correction. Your post will not be reinstated.
and if you are successful you get one saying
We recently removed a post you made, and sent you an email about it. We now
realize that the post was removed in error, and would like to withdraw the
warning. This is a copy of your post:
after your post then comes
Please accept our apology and be assured that the removal of this post will not
be regarded as a violation of the Board Usage Policy.

How many times can you get a warning about one post?
Do I have to appeal each warning separately or can I do a bulk appeal if the same post is mentioned in each of the warnings?

Dunno bump, but I do know that it's possible to be slapped, and cop a 7-day holiday from the boards for a post I didn't even write! ๐ฎ
As you happen to be well aware... X-(
By the time it was appealed and overturned, my 7 days was up anyway. ๐

One is left to wonder why one rep would see the feedback as removable yet another does not and can see it should not have been removed so puts it back.
