Just want to confirm something.
When a post is removed and appealed does the letter acknowledging your appeal state
Regardless of the outcome of this review, the post will not be reinstated?
I got a message from another person telling me a post would be reinstated if it was found to have nothing wrong with it.
Also
If as a seller you had feedback you did not like and boasted about it going to be removed and it was removed then the buyer that left that feedback appealed the decision stating there was nothing there to breach FB policy and so it was then reinstated, would you as the seller be annoyed at ebay or the buyer?

jhos that is wrong as feedback can be reinstated when the one who left it appeals to have it put back and gives valid reasons why it should not have been removed.

I don't know what to beleive, situations like these are rare, but still, one would think that the most reliable source would be Ebay.
Also, looking again at our f/back - who'd ever want to fight to re instate that one?
But thank you ladies & gents (not sure of the gender of anyone here), my first venture onto the boards was interesting & educational.

Maybe your boss can fill you in on how it all works ๐
As she is the sort that claims others love her instantly (must be her irresistible nature), and so genuine and very friendly and CLASSY.
IHO :).

Do you know January?
Away at the moment, she is sorta boss when the real boss is not here.
And she's all that and more - she makes it such fun & pleasure working here.
She's lovely, and thank you for the compliments, really nice of you .
And James is great too, but sadly we don't see him very often.
January told us that several years ago he was heartbroken over a very lovely girl who is frequent advisor on the boards.

james or who ever is posting the only reason some seller get FB removed is because the buyer is not aware they can have it reinstated if it was removed when it shouldn't have been.
Ebay will tell you what ever you want to hear to get you of the ph and will in many cases do things that are even against policy until someone challenges it and get it overturned.
You can however believe what ever you like, it doesn't make it so ๐

hawk* - Isa has gone for the night, and I hardly ever talk to Ebay so can't really judge for myself if Ebay has a habit of telling people what they want to hear - especially if one is ringing for information about their rules. They may not always know what the caller would like to hear, which "version".
But you may have much more experience with that so I have no reason not take it under advisement.
However, what bothers me greatly about our particular f/back with this line of reasoning is - If the buyer is the one who can insist on re - instating it - why would they do so in this particular case - this sort of f/back surelly wouldn't be worth fighting for. If I was a buyer I think I would have been much happier to see it gone altogether. Just looking at it as a member of the public would.

Members of the public like to know what the seller is like and reading FB can show if a buyer wants to deal with that seller or not.
So if a buyer was not happy and left FB to reflect how they felt about the transaction WHY would they want said FB to be removed?

sparklz, of course public has to see what buyers think of the seller - in our case we don't really have anything to worry about, but I agree with you 100%, that is what the f/back is for.
That is not what I meant in my post, I just thought looking at the last one that Ebay must have thought something was not right as they removed part of it, and left what someone here wanted left in the first place.
I really can't tell you as I don't know the details why was the entire f/back removed initially, must have been a mistake on some rep's part.
I think, we as sellers, and any other seller would agree unanimously that f/back given and received is very important for a smooth trading.
It's 10.30 - I'm out of here, finished for the night - it was lovely chatting to you all.
