Bought  this bag from this seller for $15.98 with free postage.  Arrived today came directly from kmart in qld. Seller is in Western Australia . Bag is sold on kmart website for $10. When I checked sellers website they are selling other items from kmart but charging extra for item. Be aware.

Re: Profiterring seller

Have you reported the seller?

Any reason you did not give them the neg they deserve?

Their listing show they sell most Kmart branded stuff, and use stock photos

I am aware, and would not buy in a pink fit based on their drop shipping

Time to check who you are buying from is before you buy

That would have told you to avoid them

Plus all their negs for not sending items at all

"Profiterring seller"

All sellers sell to make a profit but dropshipping directly  from kmart, amazon etc and giving buyers details to

other sites is against the rules and can be reported to eBay.

BUT  unfortunately, eBay rarely do anything about it.

How much do KMart charge for postage?

It is unlikely KMart would send a single $10 item for free.

Apples and oranges, maybe?

=======================================

There are very good reasons for ebay to not act, until a dropshipper becomes a considerable problem/risk, at which time they can fully justify taking action.

Ebay are not going to open a can of worms, and hope they can put the lid back on.

There's your answer  dee

"Ebay are not going to open a can of worms, and hope they can put the lid back on"

Even though eBay states the following, it means nothing.

"When eBay orders are sent by another retailer or marketplace, it can cause confusion for customers and affect trust in the eBay marketplace. We have this policy to maintain the customer experience for both buyers and sellers, as well as to protect our customers' data from being used for purposes other than fulfilment"

Makes sense really.

When you consider eBay rarely do anything about  all the  scam listings for non existent items  on this site   and with the  place being overrun with counterfeit items,  a seller  dropshipping from Kmart, Amazon etc plays a very small part in the scheme of things.

Even if sellers are giving all their buyers'  details  to other sites !

I would say the seller has One-Pass. I know I have.

It gives free shipping from a lot of different stores.

Re: Profiterring seller

The seller is doing the wrong thing.

Wrong by ebay's own policy and pretty stupid as a seller because their ruse is immediately obvious to customers and I've never known this sort of thing NOT to cause resentment.

It's okay to buy from Kmart or anywhere else to resell at a profit, but obviously the seller would not be able to sell at this price point, with free postage, unless she had it sent direct from Kmart. You can absolutely bet she has One Pass, which gives free shipping.

Great job with the feedback you gave, except I think you probably should have given her a negative as if other buyers check feedback at all, they are more inclined to at least check the negs (or I hope).

But if you and others continue to give feedback that explicitly states the items are direct from kMart, then those buyers who do bother to check feedback first will be given a heads up.

For most people, it would work out slightly cheaper to just buy a month's One- pass than to buy via this seller.

Re: Profiterring seller

Hi Casey,   I am well aware of the ebay policy. As are other sites that openly welcome ebay members as drop shippers.

It is far more complex than ebays policy would have you believe.

Third Party Fulfillment, is a legitimate, 100% legal, retail sales method/model.  Done correctly it is not a problem for ebay or anyone else.  It is big business, with  many individuals having millions of transactions, and  many more retiring from their day jobs  to operate as full time drop shippers.

It is only going to get bigger

Re: Profiterring seller

Does the OP understand what selling is all about?

Do they actually expect sellers to just sell for the fun of it?

Of course they have to profit - otherwise no-one would sell!

Mainstream big businesses don't profit from sales?   Sure.  Pull the other one.
