I purchased an item from a seller - the seller was messaging me through out the money back guarantee period, assuring me that they were waiting for stock to arrive and then as soon as the money back guarantee window passed, they stopped replying and haven't sent my item. And now I can’t claim under the money back guarantee because that window has passed, what can I do?

NEVER let a seller mess you around.

 

If you paid by Paypal, you have 180 days from payment date to file an item not received claim

 

Or as a last resort, you could try  a chargeback through your bank

Don't play games with sellers who are playing with you

 

You could have opened a dispute before it was too late, you the buyer have all the power

 

Use the tools available before it is too late

 

What was the sellers feedback like?

 

What was the item number?

I unfortunately didn’t realise they were playing me until it was too late, they advised that their stock got wet and were waiting for more to arrive and I stupidly believed them.

It is always better to open a dispute rather than wait and wait and wait

 

Two of the three feedback the seller has is 'eBay automated feedback', left by eBay bots and not the buyers

 

The image of the doll house has been lifted directly from Kmart

 

As all their listing have been lifted from other sites

Look at it as a 'learning experience' so next time you'll know what to look for and what to do should you encounter another Dodgy Mc Dodgeface
