Hi I have bought an item worth 559 AUD by mistake and have requested to cancel order like 3 mins after the transaction and even sent a message but seller isn't responding to my msgs or the request even though its been like 5 hours since seller last updated his ad (meaning he's been active on ebay since 5 hours ago yet failed to respond to my msgs) What should I do? I want to cancel order asap so I can buy another one from a seller with a better reputation but ebay system says it may take 3 to 5 days for seller to respond
Is there any way to cancel immediately without sellers consent?

Unfortunately, the seller does not have to accept a request for cancellation, even if you cancel within an hour.

There is no way to cancel this transaction without the seller doing so.
How do you buy an item for $500 by mistake?
What was the mistake that you made?
Did the seller not have "a better reputation" at the time of your purchase?

If you refuse to pay and the seller will not cancel then the seller will probably open a "non payment dispute" against you. If that happens and you don't pay you'll end up with a non-payers strike against your account.
That will not be a problem unless you have had another one of those in the last 12 months and future sellers have their buyer blocks inplace to block non-payers.
Edit. Snap Sandy.

What should you do?
Wear the non payment strike if the seller gives you one so they can get their fees back
The seller is not obligated to respond to you, nor do they have to agree to cancel
Nobody is going to 'make you pay'
If you do get a strike , it will only affect you if you already have one, and only from sellers who have blocks in place
Finding a better offer is not a valid reason to want to cancel
Seller's feedback are available before bidding/buying so the time to check reputations is prior to purchase.......or was it a mistake ??

I thought seller was reputatble until I saw that he had 'no return accepted' policy and his delivery was done by sendle after checking out
But still don't you find it suspicious that seller is intentioanlly ignoring me even though he's been on ebay this morning?

Payment was already successfully processed

Wasn't Sendle mentioned when you checked Postage on the listing's page?
"No returns accepted" is actually quite common and not a sign that a seller is not a reputable seller. If an item is not as described or faulty, you can still return it of course. "No returns accepted" refers to change of mind.
If you really don't want the item, your only option would be not to accept the parcel when it arrives (WITHOUT opening it), so it will go back to the sender, but be sure you don't want to buy from them ever again because they will probably block you.

Yes it was written in delivery section but I usually dont check postage before checking out. I want the item but I'm afraid item will arrive damaged (from reading sendle reviews) and seller won't refund me properly. So I just want to end transaction while I still can (before seller sends item) and get same one from different seller ($10 more expensive but standard postage and 100%positive review) But I see no reason he is not replying to my msgs. ETD of the item is 8th august

If the item arrives damaged and the seller is unresponsive, you can open a case.
Have you ever used Sendle where you live?
Where I live, they are not bad. I never had a problem with them, but I haven't used them much.
