Sellers with the highest mark ups?

I came across a seller that had an item for sale at over 9 times what it normally sells for and messaged them to

point out that they may have put the decimal point in the wrong spot.

Their message back was: Thank you for your enquiry.

All of the information we have at this stage is supplied on our product page.

Happy Shopping.

So that explained it,(Chinese seller that uploaded items with recommended prices as suggested by their

"manager" who has no idea or favours another seller).

They have over 9 million items listed and 4 out of 5 seem to be in the same vein,(from what I could see none

of those items have ever sold).

Which off course isn't surprising as they are way over priced and they obviously have no checks in place.

With the new rule coming in about "stagnant" listings that have been sitting around they could lose 8 million

listings and it makes you wonder how many more listings by other sellers could be affected.

I've added them as a saved seller to see whether they will be a protected seller who can do no wrong?

The listing in question was a golf putter holder that clips on to you bag,(I bought one years ago as my bag

didn't have an external putter holder like all the new bags do and it didn't even last two weeks),stubborn_smiley_by_mirz123-d4bt0te_zps12f1a5a3.gif

Another listing has lake balls that are priced higher then new balls, rofl.gif

Re: Sellers with the highest mark ups?

Thanks go-tazz, I just checked my underperforming listings and I only have 7 out of 1300 on one store and zero in the other store. If it stays that way it wont be a problem, but a very large number of my listings have been on ebay for more than 12 months. If they all get axed, my business will be down the gurgler and gone. I better hope the sheep job stays bouyant, because my ebay days may be strictly limited.

This is probably the single biggest threat that ebay have made on my business since it was started. It just shows how risky it is to try to build long term businesses on the ebay platform. You can have a good thing going one day only to lose the lot in an instant due to another ebay policy change.
