Re: Shill bidding or not?

Not sure as there appears to be 2 other buyers prepared to pay more than 600.

Seems to be worth that as the winner is a collector.

Perhaps the seller is shilling but it's still a bargain if genuine and seller shouldn't have started at 29.99.

Re: Shill bidding or not?

The high bidder has probably spotted something that increases it's value which was unbeknown to the seller.

It's up to AU $2,076.00 now and another low feedback bidder is bidding but the I***Y ID is still winning as it

hasn't reached their top bid which they placed on:30-Apr-14 23:34:02 AEST

The new 2 feedback ID has:

30-Day Summary
Total bids: 9
Items bid on: 1
Bid activity (%) with this seller: 100% Help
Bid retractions: 0
Bid retractions (6 months): 0

Re: Shill bidding or not?

Tazz, it's now up to $4050 already, with 1d 7h still remaining! If I was the seller, I'd be getting the thing valued immediately, before the end of the auction, as it's clearly worth a hell of a lot more than he initially thought.

If people are prepared to bid those amount on ebay, he'd probably do considerably better at a specialised auction house.

Bloody hell, less than 5 hours later and it's up to $5,100 already!

I'd dearly love to know what it's really worth.

Re: Shill bidding or not?

I predict the bubble will pop! THere will be a SNAD and return for refund.

Then the buyer will send a used glass coffee pot back instead.

Am I cynical??

I'd pay $5k+ if there was a genie in there.... Smiley LOL

Sorry, I don't have anything that's actually constructive to contribute Smiley Embarassed, but I am curious to know if that particular piece is actually that valuable, and why.

Re: Shill bidding or not?

So would I Digi.

There is another similar item listed that has a BIN of a few $$$ more than the starting price of that item...I wonder if that seller will suddenly increase their price.
