Ultimate ears, hyper boom speaker

Hi everyone, just a heads up on buying a hyper boom speaker. The seller I bought off has a no return policy and I didn't get a receipt for the speaker so any warranty claim is very hard to make. Also messaging the seller is a dead end they don't answer you back. Tried to find them because it says they are a official seller of the product, sent from the rocks in Sydney no-go there. Logitech Sydney don't have a store or warehouse there what a surprise!. I put in a report to eBay about them not responding to messages but they don't seem interested either. If you do get one of these speakers and need to do a warranty claim go to the real official website of ultimate ears where they do practice customer service.

Re: Ultimate ears, hyper boom speaker

Under your sellers,  Australian Registered Company Name  (Pty Ltd),  Carlingford NSW, Phone number etc, they are acknowledged as a logitech leading reseller.

They are also involved in the supply of technology and information systems to the medical and legal fields.

Strange Logitech Australia would not recognize them as an Authorized seller, as shown by ebay.  As such your ebay purchase summary should have been sufficient for logitechs manufacturers  warranty to apply.  Maybe you finally got someone at logitech who knew what they were doing

Ok let's sort this out. I purchased the speaker just before Christmas, My request for a copy of the receipt was not answered from the seller so I thought okay the receipt from eBay should be good enough because of the speakers 2 year warranty. Four months down the track I need to do a warranty claim which is handled by the maker. They were insisting on a bill of sale from the seller. After requesting a copy of the receipt from the seller my messages went  unanswered hence reporting it. Now after 14 e-mails and some screenshots of the sellers Ad and me telling them about the seller not responding they practiced some good customer service and decided to honour the warranty claim. Now this whole saga could of been avoided if I was supplied with a bill of sale at the time of purchase from the seller seems warranty was involved. Just to clarify another point, I asked if the seller is a official seller of their speaker and they said eBay is not a official seller.

From your summary, and from gutterpunkz's comment, it seems you may have bought from an authorised seller. If so, you've been lucky.

On ebay you have to be extremely careful who you buy from. There wouldn't be a single regular on this messageboard who isn't aware of that.

Just a heads up-never assume (no matter what it says in some ebay ad) that any warranty mentioned is valid. In a lot of cases, it is worthless.

Never assume ebay is interested in warranty issues. It has a 30 day claim policy in case something you get is faulty or not as described when you receive it, but that's it.

By the sounds of it, the business you bought from is extremely slack and unhelpful. No response to 14 emails, if they are an authorised seller, is beyond poor.

The people who should be dealing with them though is the company involved. It's their authorised seller, if what you say is correct.

Ebay won't be concerned about a seller not contacting you months after a sale. They are literally only concerned about that 30 day window.

Quite frankly, if you want to buy something expensive, with a proper receipt and warranty, ebay is often not the best place to buy it. Too many potential problems unless you do your research.
