I can't believe no one has posted this problem on the Community Discussion Board . . . Thursday January 10th went to pay s seller and low & behold I can't . . . process came up with an 'error message' and it said to try later. Phoned eBay . . . technical error with payment sytem won't allo buyers to pay a seller with more than 3 items . . .eBay said they're trying to fix the problem and try again in 24 to 48 hours.
So, a global multimillion dollar corporation that makes billions of dollars can cause great inconveinence and stress at buyers expense, let alone the issue with sellers who aren't aware of this 'glitch' and may lodge 'Unpaid Item Disputes', and don't have the resources to fix the problem sooner???
Seems to be a one way street here that works for eBay . . . and on top of that there's no messaging service (real time) from eBay to advise either buyers or sellers to TELL them that theres a payment issue 'glitch' etc. . . so where's the "Customer Service" in this picture . . . there isn't any . . . it's BLANK! . . . and at my expense.
Went to request a call from eBay today (Friday January 11th) and the prompt message that came up posted a message that I've exceeded my limit of (1) call back from eBay in one day . . . I called them yesterday, I did not request a
'call back' yesterday and I can't get a call back today???? Go fiqure!!!!
It's no wonder that buyers & sellers are deserting eBay to the competition . . .eBay has failed in this instance to keep a customer happy with simple Customer Service action . . . and it's at NO BIG EXPENSE either . . .overheads are tax deductable in business . . ....which means more profit.
Happy trails . . .

Hi springyzone,
My sentiments exactly.
As for the seller, well I have difficulty with communication in that the seller is in Cambodia and I think my โcontact sellerโ inquiries are losing something in translation and their responses are difficult to decipher too and are in broken English, the seller (in my books) is a 100% 5Stars Seller and has been striving to arrive at a mutual understanding on the issue but itโs a work in progress and I think they understand.
So for now itโs a waiting game with eBay holding most of the cards. I do not want to have to go through the exercise of the seller sending me an invoice via PayPal (as eBay suggested) as this would only create a bigger communication problem and believe me with my experience it would. Trust me on this.
I have had this payment โglitchโ before with eBay and believe me thereโs no recourse with them attempting a โmanualโ fix . . . the problem is too big.
Itโll be resolved but itโs just a wait in progress.
Thanks for your advice.

Hi k1ooo-slr-sales,
See my earlier posts in reply to others . . . in short itโs sleep deprivation and I got my details jumbled up.
Yep, itโs January all right . . . what year?
Thanks for your advice and of course the nomination. Love an Oscar but I got to pick up my acting game somewhat.
Cheers

Dear digital*ghost
No worries. Iโve been there and done that over the last ten years and know that sellers need to issue multiple invoices for items totaling over so many items. I already organized multiple invoices with the seller prior to the โglitchโ but the problem is stopping me from paying.
I also had over 38 items in a previous order with this seller before this current order of 43 ran into this glitch. We had no payment problems with the 38 order. Shipment is on its way.
The glitch is in eBay hands.
Thanks for your advice.

It's not an ebay glitch.
You simply can't pay for more than 40 items.
Of course you had no problems paying for 38 items.
The seller has to issue 2 invoices for you to pay.
Been there, done that....as a seller and buyer FYI

Dear imastawka
Sorry, but it is an eBay glitch. See my other post replies.
Youโre experience doesnโt necessarily equate to mine as mine doesnโt equate to yours or others.
Talked with eBay about this glitch several times and I reflected their response in my earlier posts. This happened before like I said and the glitch wasnโt for 38 or 40+ items, it was for several items and the glitch was the same. So, you wanna tell me what I previously experienced with an earlier glitch in 2018 and what I am currently experiencing and what I have been told by eBay is incorrect and I should accept your explanation.
I donโt think so but thanks for your comments. Thatโs what this platform is for.
FYI - the 38 item order was also broken down into several invoices too. The seller has a problem with adding items to an ongoing invoice updated often. I accept this action of separate invoices that can and do total at times 3, 14, 11, 9, 24 items and so on from this seller. Thatโs how it works for them. Thatโs exactly whatโs happening from the seller and it makes for an easier and less complicated relationship for both of us. The seller is in Cambodia and Iโve previously explained in another post my problems with language, translation and misunderstanding etc.
Yes, I can pay for more than 40 items and I have done so on numerous occasions in the last ten years with multiple invoices. With one shipping fee.
It's an eBay glitch. Regardless of WHO they interface with on a payment process method. The buck stops with eBay. Fullstop.
Thanks for your advice and input.

Dear digital*ghost
Unknown? Sometime after 24 hours I was successful in making payments via โMy Purchase History โ Pay Nowโ and โCheckoutโ portal, eBay never said how the issue was resolved and I believe then as I do now the issue was in the hands of the โTechnical Divisionโ to action (thatโs what I was told then and told now).
I never followed up with eBay to find out because with the difficulty, time taken and frustration I have endured I didnโt feel up to exhausting more resources in time & money to know. To be honest I donโt believe I would have been successful in getting a โclear cut answerโ.
Thanks again for the inquiry. Hope the reply was helpful.
Cheers
