Why can you not purchase an item under an Ebay Easter promo with the discount applied.

I just went to purchase and iphone 7 from CDT_au.  When trying to apply the easter 10% discount I get told that this promo is no longer current.  How can this not be current when it only started today

I think it is possible that they will make it available again, but obviously I don't know. I have seen codes for just a few hours, then people so wished they were still valid, and eBay later made them valid again for another day or for a few more hours so people rushed to buy... I mean, Easter is not over! Actually it hasn't even started!
