I have received a phone call from China (a seller) and I would like to know if this is usual

I have had several leave me positive feedback straight after they paid, a couple a week or so later that I received back RTS, so the leaving of feedback by a buyer doesn't necessarily equal that they received the item.

I buy a lot from overseas and it is rare that my phone number is not included on the address label...even some Aussie sellers include it.
I doubt that any seller would have to ask ebay for my contact details.

C&S include it so you an expect more. When sellers work out that C&S is generally cheaper than the alternatives.

It is no big deal as far as I am concerned. If I put my phone number out in public why would I be surprised or upset if a seller uses it?
I must admit I was a bit miffed when seller rang me from Scotland at 11.30pm on a Saturday night and would not take no for an answer...I tried to explain the time but all she was interested in was getting me to change feedback. Stupidly I gave in just for the sake of peace.

I'm wondering if you if you made an inquiry about their product. Although unusual, there a few sellers who would contact the buyer expecially if there's no other potential buyer.
But if you didn't and the call just came out of nowhere, then it's a different story. It's suspicious and is probably a scam perpetrated by someone who's after your bank details. The next time you get a similar call, hang up.
