I purchased a phone in Dec 2013 returned it on Jan 2014, <removed> have not replaced the phone and now refuse to reply to my message requests. Ebay have frozen their account as their contact details are in correct, this is not an Australian business it is based in Malaysia, very bad experience

Additionally, why is their account name being censored here? Why can people not see this for what it is? Why is eBay helping them to continue to be deceitful?

Board policy prohibits naming and shaming. If you continue to do it you will be slapped by the moderators and possibly be banned from posting here.

Padi, I noticed, if you scroll back, someone changed the title of the thread in their post.
Mods haven't picked up on it.

It was changed at post 46 and includes the seller's ID....not much use the moderators editing the actual post when the damage is in the title.

Naming a seller like <Removed> that has a recurring mistreatment of customers should be supported, especially when they push things out so that you can't even leave feedback
It's not as if eBay care about it as by the look of it this issue has been going on for some time. I guess the money eBay make from them being a busy seller far outweighs them giving $0.02 of care for the people buying from the site.

justinj0305, when you signed up to eBay, you ticked the "I agree" box in the User Agreement.
When you use the boards, an extension of that is that you agree to abide by the Community Content Policy. Among the prohibited actions is "Publishing personal contact information of any person in any public area of eBay, including emails, phone numbers, name, street address, etc." and "Including feedback or comments about other users" - the latter of which would be why the moderators edit user IDs that are posted for the purpose of naming and shaming.
There are some obvious reasons for this, including but not limited to:
If you keep on posting seller IDs here, moderators will keep on editing your posts, and it is possible that you will find yourself barred from the boards, either temporarily or permanently. You've made your point; if you try to keep hammering out the seller's username, you're almost certainly not going to accomplish anything further. Wouldn't it be best to quit while you're ahead, having said what you wanted to say?
It's not a matter of eBay protecting bad sellers, but rather, I think, eBay not wanting to deal with cases of complicity where a seller claims that their reputation was unfairly damaged.
