phone number required??

hi i won a couple of items from the same seller. went to pay for it tonight and when i clicked on the pay now button, a seperate box came up telling me that i needed to put in my phone number before i could buy from that seller. Of course i didn't put it in, but wanted to know what the go was? i paid for a number of items and never recieved the pop up box. i went back to check if it was written in the listing description and i missed it but it wasn't. Is this allowed to demand personal details such as phone number when it is not a requirement???

I actually got curious and had a look.. They're selling an MP3 player and using a picture that looks suspiciously like an iPod..

There are two negs for the item, with one of them saying INR and the other one is a SNAD

I have never revcived any phone call from courier.

You have draggd up an 8 year old thread and added nothing of vale to the discussion.

Just because you have not had a phone call from a courier does not mean they do not happen.

Many overseas courier companies will not accept a parcel without a contact number for someone at the delivery address.
