trying to find out what is going on with item purchased that should have arrived fri 18th but did no

I am trying to find out what has happened to the item that I purchased.   I have contacted to seller but no response the item should havearrived on Fri 18th but did not arrive and the tracking has not been updated since Mon 12th .What do I need to do?

I received the package 5 days after the projected arrival date the carrier was allied express .   It appears they held the package in sydney before dispatch.  The tracking was not updated until the last minute so I had no idea where the package even was.   The seller was very helpful in the matter the problem seems to be with the carrier.
