wrong region dvd

Hi every one, a short while ago i recived a dvd that i purchaced, in the listing it stated it was region 4, but alas it is region 2. I would like to know the best way to proceed concerning an exchange or refund, without the seller reciving any bad marks from ebay.

Re: wrong region dvd

Also i use the mobile app, i took pictures of dvd and case were it says region 2, first they tell me picture is blury, now i sent second lot of photos and seller tells me when they are to small and when they click on them it takes them to an over seas ebay site!!, i explained to seller that i tryed dvd in my playstation ( only dvd player i have), they reply by saying they never claimed dvd would work in anything other than a dvd player.
now if that were the case would not the seller had written in listing that a multi region dvd player would be required??

Re: wrong region dvd

Send the seller a message incase they have sent you the incorrect item.

In your My eBay Purchase History click on Contact Seller > I have a question about using my item or I want to send the seller a message

Re: wrong region dvd

Sorry, I have no idea about DVDs or Playstations (I don't have either  ๐Ÿ™‚ )

If the seller is asking for pics it is usually easier to send them directly to their email address. Did you pay by PayPal? Have a look at your PayPal email receipt and it will show you the seller's email address. Send the seller a message through eBay and tell them that you'll send the pics to their direct email account.

If the DVD is not as it was described in the listing and the seller is still unhelpful then you should open a Return Request.

Region 2 and 4 are usually interchangeable.

I always buy my DVDs from the UK as they are cheaper than in Australia.

Have you considered buying a cheap DVD player that will play Region 2/4 DVDs.....you would soon recoup the cost as the discs are so much cheaper from the UK.

Re: wrong region dvd

The seller did not ask for pictures, i sent them to prove i was not lying about the dvd. I will try what you suggested and i will come back if i get stuck or need help processing any(if needed) return request. Thankyou very much for your time and effort replying to me.

Re: wrong region dvd

Hi lyndal, im quite happy with my playstation for useage as a dvd player, to be quite honest i dont really want to buy a region 2/4 dvd player, my way of thinking is that if a listing states its region 4 it should be that, yes i realise that dvd's over seas can be cheep, but i guess my point is this, why pay for another dvd player when i should of got what i ordered in the first place. Im not having a go at you.

Thanks bakenfri, im good for now.
i mesage seller stating i can email them pictures, they send me there email address(albeit broken down, eg blah at dot id dot), wierd thing is that email does not match any email that was on the paypal recipt email. So i sent it to the email that was on my paypal recipt and told them i had done so. See what happens suppose.
