As in, does it have a specific purpose eg bread knife. I know that's not what it would be used for, just an example.
It' another vintage piece, this time from my mother's estate.
Thank you all in advance.

I would think it could be used for either cheese or cake / pie - the length suggests the latter to me. Mirage apparently made a range of "hostess helpers" / hostess servers with these lucite handles.

Thanks Siddie. I've never heard of lucite, so that is something new for me to learn about. Thanks again for your help.

Here is one of many with similar blades.
Did find a couple of similar bladed ones by Robinson Stainless Steel, one was full silver and one had a bakelite handle.
Just can not locate anything similar in the Mirage design/series by Robinson SS
Anyway hope this is of some help

Thank you ๐ The blade is certainly the same shape.

And while I have you all here. These aren't as old as they others, but I'd like to be accurate about them. I know one is a cheese planer, one a cheese knife (I think) and I'm not sure about the one on the left.
Again, thank you all for your time and help. I have 3 estates to go through as well as a lifetime of collecting all sorts of things ourselves, so will no doubt be back with a lot more questions. Thank you all for your patience with me.

The one on the left is a grapefruit knife.
The knife youโve mentioned in your OP seems to me to be a pie knife.
