I received faulty goods. I then tried to return the items only to find that the purchase history had been deleted off eBay. It is my understanding that only the seller or eBay can do this. Is this correct?
Fortunately, I printed copies of all the documentation regarding this purchase.
When I contacted the seller and provided proof of purchase they then asked me to go to eBay returns.
This was not possible as the history had been DELETED. Contacting eBay was a joke.
I was constantly referred back to the online return.
Any thoughts as to what to do now.
I will go to Consumer Affairs if I have to as I purchased a number of these items and they are not cheap.

Purchases/orders are not deleted.
Have you clicked on the menu at the top of the purchase page, that says 'All purchases'?
From there you should find the order and a drop down menu on the right 'more actions' to find the return button.

No the seller cannot delete your purchase history, I don't know where you got that one from
Have you changed the drop down menu?
How long ago did you buy?
There is a limit limit, for all buyers, no special
Did you purchase on the account you are posting with, another account, or as a guest?
By all means go to consume affairs if you wish
But they will not help you if you are outside the time limit
And make sure you have all your facts right, they certainly won't help if you give them this spiel
