CONTROVERSIAL anti-Islam Dutch MP Geert Wilders has revealed that a new party defending western values will be launched in Australia.

In a Youtube message, Mr Wilders said he would visit Perth next year to help launch the

Australian Liberty Alliance, which he described as a freedom party.

“Many of you are disappointed with current political parties and have had enough of politicians who sell out western civilisation,” he said.

Mr Wilders, whose Freedom Party is popular in the Netherlands, was the subject of rowdy protests by far Left groups when he toured Australia in February last year.

His views were condemned by several political leaders and in some cases he had to find new meeting venues when worried hosts cancelled bookings.

His visit was sponsored by the Q Society, an Australian “Islam-critical” group which is organising an international seminar this weekend in Melbourne.

Australia's Race Discrimination Commissioner will challenge Tony Abbott for the first time on Monday over the Prime Minister's push to water down racial vilification laws.

Were they on the hit list to go ?

This party is OK to change' Australian values (the ones set out officially in writing) by it's very existance.

Imagine if it was related to the Jewish faith. How far would they get ?

apparently "multiculturalism is destroying this country", mmmm thats very interesting - I would like to see some proof of such a claim, according to the ABS -

AUSTRALIA'S POPULATION BY COUNTRY OF BIRTH
The cultural and linguistic diversity of Australia's resident population has been reshaped over many years by migration. Historically, more people immigrate to, than emigrate from, Australia. At 30 June 2013, 27.7% of the estimated resident population (ERP) was born overseas (6.4 million people). This was an increase from 30 June 2012, when 27.3% of the ERP was born overseas (6.2 million people). In 2003, ten years earlier, 23.6% of the ERP were born overseas (4.7 million people).

article from last visit.

Geert Wilders Is a Lightning Rod For Racists

Liberal defences of freedom of expression fall short when applied to Geert Wilders, who seeks to banish Islam in the West. Simply to ignore his racism isn't good enough, writes Nick Riemer

What do you do when a famous racist politician descends on Australia in a fanfare of media? Geert Wilders' current speaking tour makes the question topical, raising key issues about free speech, the political response to racism, and the utility of protest.

Aussie Anti-Islam Party Draws Criticism

CAIRO – The launch of a new anti-Islam political party in Australia has sparked condemnation from leaders of the Muslim community and major Australian parties as fueling racism and bigotry against the sizable Muslim minority.

“Extremism often leads to strife,” Warren Truss, the leader of the National Party of Australia in the Parliament of Australia and the deputy prime minister, said in Canberra on Wednesday, The Guardian reported on Thursday, March 6.

“While people are entitled to their views in this country, we really do expect all Australians to respect the views of others and to promote their views peacefully.”

Truss’s comments followed the announcement that a new anti-Islam party, the Australian Liberty Alliance, would be introduced in a conference next Friday sponsored by Q Society in Melbourne.

Extremism, be it of the far left or the far right, is not welcome in Australia,” he added.

Praise

Amid growing condemnations, far-right Dutch politician Geert Wilders has welcomed the launch of the Australian Liberty Alliance.

“Many of you are disappointed by current political parties and have had enough of politicians who sell out our western civilization,” Geert Wilders said in the recorded message cited by the Guardian.

“Like you, good people in Europe, America and Canada have had enough of politicians who don’t share our values and foolishly declare that all cultures are equal and who lack courage to speak the truth and say that Islam is the biggest threat to freedom today.

“You too will soon have the opportunity to turn the tide in Australia,” Wilders added.

Wilders, the leader of the far-right Freedom Party (PVV), was invited in February 2013 at the Q Society, to speak against what he calls the “Islamization” of Europe.

Wilders’ inflammatory speeches against Islam in Australia, have triggered protests from Muslims in Australia.

Politicians had warned that his hostile rhetoric fuels racism and bigotry against the sizable minority.

Muslims, who have been in Australia for more than 200 years, make up 1.7 percent of its 20-million population.

Islam is the country's second largest religion after Christianity.

he shouldn't even be allowed to set foot in this country.  i find it so sad the people waste so much time on hate and judgement of other cultures, races and religions.  we are on this planet for such a short time and yet so many spend to want to spend that time being completely miserable and nasty.

Such is life.

what exactly would you be voting for?

I haven't yet seen a proposed policy from them.

We have freedom of speech but only within the law.
