Anyone else into seeking their ancestors?

I have become adicted to Ancestry.com and am lucky enough that one side of my family can be researched way back into the dim times.

The other side has hit a brick wall and I have to wait until someone else in the world may have more information.

How is everyone else going?

Chappies.......that is the same package I have......the 1911 census is slowly being rolled out so it should be an exciting year.

I had a meet up with some cousins I found through Ancestry last year....and we decided to meet up on a regular basis.

We are planning a family reunion for next year to celebrate the 200th birthday of our common ancestor.

Re: Anyone else into seeking their ancestors?

Stay tuned......expect to be spammed.....well about 8 or 10 emails anyway.

I have tried to put each family group in an email to make it easier to understand.

chuk, I can email you copies of any censuses that you want. You will just need to give me a list family by family. I didnt really put it all down on paper, I just emailed as I found everything and lots of it was late at night.

If you want supporting documents for any of it, just let me know.

Re: Anyone else into seeking their ancestors?

Births marriages deaths.......probate.......census from 1841 to 1911....immigration .......criminal registers.

If you google I am sure you will find a list of records available....and what different packages Ancestry offers that fits the countries of your search.

There are many free sites that can start you on your way.

Family search is free and very good for you to search.

Freebmd and Freereg are free sites that are good for UK research.

After tonight I will be free for any searches.
