Allison Baden Clay Murder 2 years ago
I was reading up on this today, as the trial started Monday.
The senior Baden Clay was on the stand today and gave evidence about something his wife told him about his daughter in law..................................I thought they usually objected and called that heresay?
Don't they do that in Australia? have I watched too many American crime shows?

I think it depends on your family. I don't find it strange.
Three generations of my family are always dropping in and out
of each others houses. Some have their own key.
Maybe that's just us though

We drop into my in -laws whenever, never ring, none of the family ring, my husbands family is very, very close and family orientated.
Doesnt worry me/

Depends on the family dynamics, I like to know, so I am home, hate missed visitors! and I usually call first but we have keys to each others homes here................ only used as necessary.
My MIL hated drop ins unannounnced, my mum loved it.

The BC parents said G & A asked them early on in their marriage, not to call in unless they phoned first. IF A wasn't feeling too good and lying in a darkened room, why would G or A say Yes to visitors coming around?
They may clear that up later az.. About the house having drapes or blinds or not.Does anyone else think its strange that the Inlaws would expect to just drop around when ever they felt like it ??
My inlaws and my parents would always check first before they came around.
not strange at all, my folks drop in all the time unannounced, come around the back and let themselves in
I agree with Azure, I think if he is innocent he is the most unluckiest bloke getting around. What's with these women that hang around for 4 years waiting for the guy to leave the wife, a wife that you have been told has depression mother of 3 children? surely there are plenty of more fish in the sea?

I wouldn't drop in announced on anyone and wouldn't like it if they did same to me.
Quick mobile phone call to check if someone is home or not too busy, is easy enough to do.
IF your in-laws are hard work, might be good idea to have a bit of warning they are going to call in!
4 years is a long time for a mistress to hang around.

The prosecutor's closing argument is extremely compelling, much more so than the defence's. Given that this case is circumstantial, it will be interesting to see who sways the jury.

No. The prosecutor is probably only about halfway through. So possibly some time tomorrow. I am reading it word for word. Very compelling, I would like to be there.
