Bye, Bye Barnaby...

Well I suppose it had to happen.

Barnaby Joyce announced his resignation at 2pm  today.

I haven't caught up with the fall out, yet.  It will be over all the news programs tonight..

Tony Abbott is still opening his mouth....I will be happy if he just shuts up for a little while!

If I were Malcolm Turnbull I may stay overseas for a bit longer!!

Re: Bye, Bye Barnaby...

In regards to policy instability and internal sovereign risk, there is one other administration that springs to mind..... Trump.    While he is still a freightening loose cannon, I,m struggling to think of any erratic, knee jerk  policy decisions he has introduced which compare to some of the more chaotic Rudd / Gillard decisions.

Back to Barnaby - Yes he is a grub and every time he

opens his mouth he proves it again and again.

And dont forget Pualine Hanson.

Seems to be a Northern NSW / Queensland thing. Different parts of the country seem to think differently to others. Here in SA we have Mr. X ( Xenephon ) who did a good job at representing the state at national level, but has gone all weird on us in the current S.A state election. The scary part is he almost certain to hold the balance of power. This will leave SA in the same position as so many other governments of having an unstable, disjointed government, regardless of who he decides to side with.

Re: Bye, Bye Barnaby...

Barny - rose through - due to his commitment to politics - commitment to his community.

We ll have a personal life - or should be entitled to same.

The fact he is a d/h in his personal life has no bearing on political commitment.

So judgemental.

Perhaps from those that have no personal ' life '.

I think he is a tool of the worst kind - given the way he has handled this whole debarcle.

But what has it to do with politics.

Live Trade practices - no one likes it - no one agrees it is OK.

But those that have been the most outraged do not gain their living - are not reliant on this.

Show your disgust elsewhere - where it may just count.

And be the first to chuck stones - when you are totally guiltless.

Given the RSPCA are totally against Live Trade, I guess you are including them in your lecture?

Re: Bye, Bye Barnaby...

there is a part of me that hope the libs win this time, just so we can see them stuff it up again.

mr marshall gives me no hope for the future in his speeches, hes promising under him all will sunshine and wine.

no tax hikes, no new taxes, no cuts, but there will be more spending and surpluses.

when asked how he will do these things he just says by better managment, yeah right.

if he wins, i give it about a month and it'll be 'oh boy, the state coffers are much worse than we thought. we wont be able to do the things we wanted to, but its labors fault'

i'm really sorry but we must cut spending, slash jobs, raise taxes.

and the people who voted him in will be the first to complain

Re: Bye, Bye Barnaby...

My original beef with the boofhead was in regard to the way

he failed to handled this affair in his own office which forced

a senior member of his staff to vacate her position within his

office due to the pressure put on her over this affair.

The news of the 2 highly paid positions for his

mistress and paid for by US the TAX PAYERS. Those positions

were not advertised and were created just for his mistress after

the heat became unbearable in his own office. He lied to his

constituents by his pretence of being a family man with high family

morals and values whilst cheating and lieing to his wife and daughters.

His dishonesty and hypocrisy creates a question in my mind with respect

to his free accomodation given to him by a wealthy local businessman - I

have to wonder what will the TAX Payer's bill be to this businessman

for Barnaby's $14,000 worth of free rent - plus the security upgrade paid by

the Federal Government to this accommodation due to Barnaby and his mistress

taking up this free living arrangement.

Re: Bye, Bye Barnaby...

Barnaby's response to young people struggling with the high

cost of housing was telling them to move to Armidale, because

the rent is cheap, while he himself couldn’t afford to pay rent in

Armidale and needed a mate to give him free rent.

It gets even worse when you remember that Joyce is on a salary

of almost $400,000 a year, and that’s before you account for the

generous allowances given to federal politicians. The hypocrisy

and gaul of this man is sickening.
