I also asked him what date his 'new house' will be ready and he said 'sometime early March, unless my brother (works for Dept Housing) can get me emergency accommodation'.

OMG, I'm sorry, but I just had to comment on this. I have a sister with 5 kids who is currently battling homelessness and someone who has a brother on the inside can get emergency accomodation 😮

I love this thread because whilst I hate to see what you and others have gone through mioux it's also very comfroting for me to see that I'm not the only one that's been there.

I can just about tick all the boxes as been there, lived through that. It'sure is bringing back memories.

One thing for you to be greatful about is the fact you don't have kids together. I'd be rid of my dumbo for good if it wasn't for the kid connection. Try having the ex turn up in the driveway with his skanky moll sitting in the front seat of what was once your ( as in the familys) 4WD to pick up your kid. They have no shame.

That's what I thought to when he told me this. His a grown man on his own more than capable of earning full time wage.

Me too, especially since I have recently been checking the waiting lists for emergency accomodation. And the social worker thats supposed to be helping my sister is suggesting that all 7 of them come and live with me 😐

Cat, can you get someone to be with you on his moving day?

A friend of mine was on her own as her ex moved his things out. He would move the things he was nominated from a room and when she was distracted he would sneak other stuff.

You will need a least 2 pairs of eyes on the day.

Mine did this too. Sneaking back down the ramp of the removalists truck with of all things PILLOWS! To think I had stupidly given him a stack of furniture as he had absolutely nothing in way of furniture 9 yrs earlier. So, he then sneaks my own personal pillows as well. Could not believe it. But that's men, selfish, entitled so and so's.

I doubt he'll start taking things he's not supposed to. He wants me to be Plan B. He even mentioned, with tears starting to form, that he'll 'miss' the big city and he loves it here and may decide to come back. He doesn't want to burn his bridges :^O
