I've had a good talk with my sister today, who is also a Buddhist. She said I need to take my power back. Cutting the thread that binds me to Mr Ex (yes dtrh I believe the thread is mine) is scary on a number of levels i.e feeling responsible, wanting to fix his unhappiness, letting go of him.

I may phone him on the weekend and tell him so he really gets the message. It will also give him a chance to say what he wants which I think is fair.

Anyway, I'm going to have a good day today.

Asking or telling him to stop calling is not taking your power back, it is giving him more.

Changing your email addy and phone # is taking your power back...in time his contact will not evoke any emotion in you, but for now it does, so if you are serious about not wanting contact, there are things you can do to empower yourself.

I sent an email to him. I told him there is only one thing I need from him and that's the truth. I said I didn't want to be friends and it was selfish of him to burden me with his tales of woes.

He sent me an email back with some truths. I doubt very much I have the full truth because cheaters are liars. But he has given me information that he had previously lied about. I feel now that I know some truth I can move on .

I'll thank him for his honesty. I needed to hear it. That old saying 'the truth may hurt but it can set you free' has some merit.

I feel strangely peaceful. Sad also but it's easier to take back the thread that was keeping me connected to him.

He is still in contact with the skank. Her husband found out and begged her to stay. But they have taken their 'affair' underground and hopes 'one day her husband will allow us to be friends'. I feel so sorry for her husband. Mr Ex said 'we keep in contact but when her husband gets wind of it we have to stop for awhile'.

I want nothing to do with these broken people.

But as I said, I will thank him for his honesty. I believe once I let go of Mr Ex, fully, he'll stop contacting me anyway. It's a Buddhist concept, as my teacher says .. when you change one of two things happen. The other person either rises to meet you or they disappear from your life because the vibrational/karmic energy doesn't match.
