Let's just throw these kiddie fiddlers in gaol. I don't care if they think it's right by their religion. Using their own stupid logic, throwing them in gaol isn't violating their religious right it's merely throwing out trash:)

well,  whether  it is someone who wants to sell me homeware products, internet service or a Watchtower booklet, i treat them all equally ie the way i would like to be treated....They're just doing their job.

You do realise that 'hawking' is illegal?  Is that the term? Can't remember.  i.e. salespeople can neither bombard you via phone or attendance at your property so why should religious fanatics think it's OK to sell their 'product' in spite of privacy laws?  JMO.

Can't remember the last time any salesperson fronted at my property in 20 years but the religious sales types don't get it....go figure !!!

If the Catholic religion is against Child molestation way did the Vatican refuse to hand Papers about this very thing to the police.

Why do they spend so much time covering this up and sending Child Molesters to different Parishes where they do it again and again.

I'm a Catholic bred though don't practise now but do know a bit of what's gone on in

the past and this is a big murky part of their past but is now coming to light, and about time for the Royal Commission I say. Yes in the past these criminals were indeed sent for a  holiday, and then to another parish, but I like to think that was in the past. 

As for religious callers, unless they're pushy and unpleasant, which I've never 

experienced, i treat them the same way as other uninvited callers, tell them 

politely I am not interested.  They too have their faith and I do in the main try 

to respect other peoples' beliefs, though don't have to share them.

There is actually a law regarding "cooling off" period which applies to such sales.  There are however new restrictions regarding times ie they are not permitted to knock on your door  at certain times and Sundays or Public Holidays. I get sales reps here on weekly basis.  Jehova's Witnesses, maybe twice a year..

I respect your politeness Bright ton42, but mate, I grew up with parts of my family being JW's=shoot me.  My Cousins grew up thinking the 'end was nigh' & that they'd all have flames coming out of their head?...seriously? lmao....define child abuse?...lol.   Might as well put on a Leonard Cohen Album & reach for the razorblades.

Needless to say I think spirituality is a personal thing. 

Science proves that we are all individuals (see DNA, Tongue, iris, finger print etc).  We just have to start getting that,  Personally life is too short to have people at my gate preaching religion, when I have my own beliefs. Perhaps they should respect that?

I am always polite to people at the door, but I always have the security door locked and talk to them through the door, I say I am not interested and walk away.

I am interested in what the law says about providing safe access to your front door.  Is there such a law?  I cant find anything specific.
