Let's just throw these kiddie fiddlers in gaol. I don't care if they think it's right by their religion. Using their own stupid logic, throwing them in gaol isn't violating their religious right it's merely throwing out trash:)

The very worst door knockers I encounter are the tree loppers!!! We like our trees, go away...please.:-( they are back within a month.......as are the other 5.

 As for anyone of the Religious.... maybe twice a year. I say good morning, they give a good morning / religious spiel and I say thank you and have a nice day. They leave.

Personally life is too short to have people at my gate preaching religion, when I have my own beliefs. Perhaps they should respect that?

How about mutual respect?  You respect their beliefs which teach they need to "spread the word" and they respect yours when you say "No,  thank you".   It would only take a few seconds for you.  For them?  They don't consider it a waste of time.

I had a the best tree guy when I was in Aus, he lived just down the road from me.

I use to love to watch him thin out my big gum tree, he would just get up the tree with spiked boots and a rope.

He also chopped down two gums that were a worry, I went to work came home and only a bit of sawdust on the lawn.

They have the same rights as other "door knockers", don't they?    Are you saying they should be excluded?  If so, on what grounds?  As I said earlier, to he best of my knowledge, they are not breaking any laws.
