Computer help please

I ask on this forum because it is a small problem and I am sure there is someone here who can help.  Please.

Somehow I have clicked somewhere and bu gg ered something up.

I can no longer do emoticons, emoticons have disappeared from my past posts, and do not show in other people's posts.  The folder icons down the left of the thread titles have disappeared.  Any icons at all are missing, the stars which accompany peoples' feedback score, the button to kudos someone is black.  A few other things. 

So it something to with icons.  Show icons/ images, or block icons etc.  I can find nothing in my settings that has anything to do with it.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Well done Pimpy! Useful info for future reference.  I couldn't get your Alt key method to get to the media info to work though. Another quick way is to just mouse over to an icon (or any image), right click > View image info.  That should take you straight to the info for that image, with the all important "Block images from [server]" check box underneath.
