Computer question

We have an old XP computer and it's getting slow.

I don't know anything about computers except where the "on" button is.

I looked on ebay and found this: 221287821790

We only use it for the internet and for playing "Civilisation" so I don't think we need flashy graphic cards.

Do you think that is a good computer for the price and should I buy any of the upgrades offered?

that computer is double as fast as the one we currently use.

the reason why i am looking online is that i have bought heaps of stuff on ebay for about half the price (real expensive stuff) they wanted in shops. sometimes i bought things online for 1/100 of the price in shops. i have saved about $1000 just by looking at ebay for 10 minutes so i am sorta disillusioned with brick and mortar shops.

Win 7 might be best option instead of Win 8.

Windows 10 is due out in the nothern summer this year - prob because Win8 wasn't that popular.

You could upgrade from Win 7 to Win 10 later, but you most likely wouldn't need to.

Aust Fin Review

Win 8's problem was threefold. First, it was radically unfamiliar. Second, coming to grips with the brave new world wasn't worth the pain of mastering it. Third, it was more awkward than a left-handed driver in the hands of a right-handed golfer. So enterprise has kept its desktops firmly rooted in the Windows 7 world. Worse, from Microsoft's perspective, there is still an army of Windows XP machines in service, a year after the product stopped being supported.

I quite like win8.  With the win8.1 update they kind of reverted it back to win7 style as a default though. I like the 8 user interface.

we have mice,keyboards, screens etc.

it says under"optical drive" Samsung / LG / Lite-On Dual Layer DVD Burner with Bunning Software

that is a thing that can read my game disc yes? one of those things you put the gaming disc inside and then you can play the game?

I would not buy it.  I think you can get better value, probably at a local computer shop.

But I like lap tops these days. I don't think I've even turned on the desk top for a couple of years  :D:D

Would you like to buy it?  You can have it cheap with win7 included  :D:D:D
