We have an old XP computer and it's getting slow.
I don't know anything about computers except where the "on" button is.
I looked on ebay and found this: 221287821790
We only use it for the internet and for playing "Civilisation" so I don't think we need flashy graphic cards.
Do you think that is a good computer for the price and should I buy any of the upgrades offered?

that is a thing that can read my game disc yes? one of those things you put the gaming disc inside and then you can play the game?
I would not buy it. I think you can get better value, probably at a local computer shop.
But I like lap tops these days. I don't think I've even turned on the desk top for a couple of years :D:D
Would you like to buy it? You can have it cheap with win7 included :D:D:D
maybe
depends on how fast it is. it would have to be better than what we have....
Actually, immediately after I posted that I thought I should connect it to the TV and use it for netflix :D:D
No, I wouldn't burden you with it, I think one of the RAM chips is on the blink and I don't know how well it would travel in the post.
Seriously though, I would check the locals first these days as I have seen some great buys around that in the past would not have been competitive.

A brand new gaming computer with intel i7 processor 12 Gb ram, decent graphics card, 2 Tb raid storage and win 7 OS with 2 optical drives, with wifi an wireless mouse and keyboard can be got for around $1600.
A top class system

From the listing - Choose the case you want from listed below at same price, or the default case will be used
Won't the power supply from the op's old computer (CPU) work with a new one?

Not really... not rocket science choosing a new PC/laptop. My daughters get me to check out laptops for them.. they are both happy with what they bought.

Exactly, which is what we were up to before you posted - way to confuse people!
