Computer question

We have an old XP computer and it's getting slow.

I don't know anything about computers except where the "on" button is.

I looked on ebay and found this: 221287821790

We only use it for the internet and for playing "Civilisation" so I don't think we need flashy graphic cards.

Do you think that is a good computer for the price and should I buy any of the upgrades offered?

Not really... not rocket science choosing a new PC/laptop. My daughters get me to check out laptops for them.. they are both happy with what they bought.

Re: Computer question

No it doesen't

And if the truth be known the one they have got did what they needed to do in the past but now it is clogged with malware and all it needs is a good clean or the system re installed to return it to how it was before.

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Re: Computer question

The system is complete except for Operating System - Windows 7 Home Premium is an extra $145 installed.

This listed optional upgrades are EXACTLY THAT - OPTIONAL UPGRADES.

eg you can upgrade from the standard 4 gig memory to either 8 or 16 gig at extra cost

you can upgrade from the standard Motherboard to the more advanced at extra cost

You can upgrade from the standard DVD to a better one at extra cost

You can upgrade from the standard 500 w power Supply to a bigger one - 650, 750 or 850 at extra cost  - the more devices you add the bigger power supply you need

etc etc
