"$US28? That would be over $AU40, plus GST and not much difference
I probably should have clarified that.
CD from the U.S, $28Au (postage included) plus $2.80 GST. Total = $30.80Au. Locally purchased, $47 plus $5 postage plus $5.20 GST. Total = $57.20.
Now you know why I refuse to purchase from a domestic seller.
No GST added to Australian purchases, so total = $52..00
Pays to know the rules that apply when you puuchase online.

One thing is for certain - we have to get tougher with those who have been medically placed in quarantine , as only i recall 29% stayed at all times in quarantine , as accessed by authorities that visited the residences
Might have to be formalised with an intervention order of sort , tracker bracelets and police tape to ward off un-authorised visitors
and setting up alternate accommodation in the Simpson desert or Snake Island for those that just can not resist temptation.

Re home-schooling.
So the parents who have been forced out of their jobs thanks to government restrictions are having to school their kids who are forced to stay home because of school closures, via online programs conducted by teachers who have lost their day jobs because ppl are now having go teach their own kids, but child care centres are now free, despite all warnings that that ppl should stay in their homes and look after their own children.
Some schools are still open for children whose parents are working, and can choose to send their children to school.
The premier advised parents to keep children at home.
My oldest and his partner sent their daughter to kindergarten a couple of times, when they were both working (essential workers). I guess they can now choose free childcare if they wanted, but have family to look after the child if required. At least there are options.

It's not easy for most people atm .... My daughter has been working from home whilst trying to home school her two kids at the same time. Thankfully its now school hols in NSW so that will ease the pressure a bit for her. She and her hub also own a business ( shop ) which is going down the gurgler atm
Lets hope and pray that Au can get through this pandemic quickly and come out healthy and safe on the other side

as this virus keeps spreading i feel for anyone not given a real choice about being required to keep working
people like doctors and nurses kinda signed up to be the front line against diseases, its part of being who they are for the most part.
my sister in law is a head nurse at a local old folkes home and she would love to stay home and be much safer, but she cant.
its people like staff at supermarkets and schools and pre schools (im sure there are many others)
they didnt sign up to be front line soldiers against this virus.
but are expected to put themselves in harms way in order to keep the wheels turning.
they are not trained in any kind of health care, the girls on the woolies checkout have bugga all protection, they have to touch things and be reasonably close to customers.
i touch everything i want to buy, she (or he) has to touch them to scan them
maybe we will see the scan yourself things being your only choice soon.
might be the new future of shopping, scan it and bag it yourself, no choice.

Checkout people should wear masks as many are young and so if infected display no symptoms yet shed all over the place - has been now advised that an infected person can spread the bug by just speaking , with a range of 1 metre or so - perfect at the checkout !
Might be why once gets hold in a local population it spreads so quickly.
btw customers should as well - as in indoors and so the air is captive and stagnant
The checkouts should have powered air filters in use to trap any virus or bacteria - helpful for flu mitigation as well
Is a fight on two fronts - Coronavirus and Flu

China first told the world Corona Virus could not be transfered by human to human.
The Chinese Doctor that told the internet it could be tranfered is missing, no one knows where she is
They have lied over and over about how many people have died in China
China let 5 Million people leave china after they knew about the Virus.
Trump said only one chinese person had bought the Virus to America and people had nothing to worry about it was all in hand.
Those 5 Mil People traveled through out the world from China.
Trump still thinks China did the right thing, history will not be kind to these 2 Men
Back in December nobody knew what is going on; the doctor suspected it may be transmitted human to human, but there was not a real evidence. Yes the Chinese bureaucrats messed up big way for few weeks. But most of the 5 million that left China would have been nowhere near Wuhan, and many were not Chinese citizens; China could not stop them leaving, it was up to the other countries to monitor people arriving there. Australia brought home people from Hubei province, put them in quarantine and none were infected.
The problem with epidemics is that by the time it becomes obvious how dangerous the situation is it's too late and the virus has spread. This was a new virus that nobody knew anything about.
What I wonder is WHY has our government not reacted faster with checking people coming into Australia, especially those coming from the USA. It was quite obvious that situation there is not controlled at all, yet America was last to have been put on travel restriction list. And of course the Ruby Princess fiasco is just inexplicable. I read somewhere that some high ranking Hillsong people were on board; but surely not. Why not just sneak them off and lock up the rest?
The Chinese made mistakes at time when nobody knew what is what; the rest of the world was like rabbit in the headlights
