I mean, they don't have a cure for it, do they?
i guess all those in hospitals should jolly well get up and go home, theres no cure, leave the beds for sick people who can be cured?
people carry this virus for up to a week before knowing they have it.
maybe some who carry it never 'get it' the experts are still learning about how its transmitted.
they are only testing people with symptoms, not everyone.
maybe if they were testing everyone they would find many with no symptoms have it?
so they tell us all, stay home unless you MUST go out.
to get food and medicines.
not go on a holiday
why is it we must obey only some of the requests btw?

No. the ppl in hsospital have pre-condtions which are exacerbated by the virus. Like lung or heart conditions which would have been life-threatening anyway. These ppl need the hospital beds.

If they are in otherwise good health, they should stay at home in isolation. stay in bed, phone through to the Dr for prescription medication, and otherwise keep up fluids and rest. The virus has a good recovery rate., and it will build immunity.

Maybe your holiday-making neighbours came from a city and felt they'd be safer in a less-populated area?
Have they been moved on by the police you called on them?

It would appear you might not either . . . my ID includes k1ooo as a play on the Pentax K one thousand (K1000) SLR camera brand . . . not a play on the word clue.
I know.
As for me not having a clue . . . just because I do not ascribe to the Alan Jones view of the nonseriousness of the COVID-19 threat does not mean I am not up to scratch on the science.
The science is currently saying that the more people adhere to the rules put in place by government and health authorities the more chance we have of containing and beating this thing. This includes STAY HOME THIS EASTER - DO NOT TRAVEL AWAY.

Your dinner-dobber post smacks of a F-U attitude.
Post # 964 by davidc:
thats what ive got, a whole bunch of morons wgo COULD be carriers of the virus who decided f#@k the rules, we are going on our holiday, living 20 metres from me!
and yes, i'm bleating about it because everyone around me, the lady in her 70s on my left, the 2 oldies in their 80s on my right, the lady 2 doors down who has a very sick husband (bed ridden) and all the other residents are doing the right thing.
I'm sorry for David's neighbours. Are they staying indoors to safeguard themselves? It appears so.
Are the holidaymakers close enough to infect them? It appears not.
Get a grip on yourselves, ppl.
It's a sad fact of life that old ppl die. From age related causes or other ill-health issues Not necessarily from COVID-19, although that could be the last straw, IF contracted.
20 metres from you? Assuming they even carry the virus, that would be a safe enough distance.
Ppl here are passing each other on the street less than an arm's length from each other, and there's no panic.
Get a life, fgs.
Why do you think that densely populated places have so many cases?
People who go to theirs holiday house with immediate family and stay within their property should be OK. NOT people who rent a house and arrive in 5 vehicles; they have disregarded the rules by doing that, they may disregard other rules. . Yes, person coughing near a fence may very well infect a neighbor.

Does social distancing now need to be more than 14 feet (4 metres)?

It seems we have our own brand of idiots in Melbourne -
And thanks for the extra 70 odd cases that we've just been landed with -
