The revelation of Daniel Andrews' $3.3 billion blowout on his "signature" West Gate Tunnel project is just another blow to the "punch-drunk electors and taxpayers" of Victoria, according to Sky News host Peta Credlin.
"You may remember that when Daniel Andrews was first elected, he tore up contracts signed by the former Napthine Liberal government to build the East West Link," Ms Credlin said.
"It didn't matter that construction was already underway, Andrews killed it off because he had a pre-election deal with the Greens and as a result, taxpayers were forced to pay out a billion dollars in compensation, for contract breach.
"A billion dollars not to build a new, much needed road.
"And in place of the cancelled East-West link, the Andrews government accepted a near-substitute proposal from Transurban, to build the West Gate Tunnel instead.
"It was never the best option, but it's turning out to be just another one of the Andrews government disasters inflicted on long-suffering Victorians.
"Now it's a project that's stalled before it's barely started, with a near $7 billion dollar original cost, now looking like well over $10 billion, and no completion date.
"It's hard to credit, isn't it. Just another blow to the punch-drunk electors and taxpayers of Victoria."
But Victorians think he's the best thing since sliced bread!

Yes, you're right! So many people, and not only teens indeed. The stress on the people of Vic is unimaginable. Livelihoods smashed and crushed. People being forced to take a jab or risk losing their jobs which results in losing a home, future and life. Gone is freedom!
This below from icyfroth's intro post says it all,
"It was never the best option, but it's turning out to be just another one of the Andrews government disasters inflicted on long-suffering Victorians."

why do you feel the need to attach derogatory names to people? Donald Trump did it all the time and I think it reflected poorly on him. Several opposition politicians in Vic have used the same term, and I think it shows that they are not a credible alternative to govern.
I see the attachment of the derogatory term as a cheap shot, made by someone who uses it to deflect from the real issues and their inability to make their case without stooping to gutter levels . . . playing the man rather than the ball so to speak.
You often post on these boards about there being bullies on these boards. Isn’t name calling a form of bullying?

And the tantrum hurled when a member once so much as merely shortened the said person's forum name

@4channel
are you a Victorian?
I do not ask this question of all posters who post about the Victorian situation.
This is because:
- the poster state of residence is widely known on these boards
- the other posters may make one or two ‘comment’ posts, not multiple in-depth opinionated posts highly critical of a democratically elected government, in a state where they have no voting rights
Every member has the right to post about the Victorian situation, but their state of residence becomes an issue when they start posting as if they are a Victorian and/or post about what Victorians think or feel.

In the interests of full disclosure, I have commented about the NSW situation on some threads. I do so as a former NSW resident (lived their until I was 30) who has many relatives living in Sydney. I also worked in a NSW high school for over 30 years (while living in Victoria)

Yes - Sandy - how disrespectful was that. 😂

Geez - now I'd be worried about 5G - turn off the phone.

I think he'll go down in history as one of the most horrific politicians that Australia has ever had. Some people are waking up.
