Diary of our stinking Govt.

As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed.  The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.Woman Happy

This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.

and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says

The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.

Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).

But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.

"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

I don't expect any great changes to policy unitl after the next election because it's likely that Mr Turnbull negotiated his position on these points in advance with the party members he convinced to support his challenge

I expect some good changes and turn arounds before the next election.  Turnbull knew that Abbott's decisions weren't working.

"For goodness sake monman.  Please stop nitpicking every post that Deb makes.  It's getting kind of creepy."  Almost as creepy as incorrect  definitive C&P posts sans research.

Catharsis should be earned !

I will always indicate a lack of veracity herein, even just political codswallop, and  though the gang is somewhat reduced I am kept quite busy with  nits !.

If it's catharthis you want and the ability to sleep well at night having a clear conscience, then you might like to re-visit your position on tax avoidance.

That is deserving of a chuckle M1C,   Turnbull a "commie".  He who is worth a couple of hundred million $ and once ran the investment banking firm, Whitlam Turnbull & Co Ltd, in partnership with Neville Wran (a former Labor Premier of New South Wales) and the former State Bank of New South Wales chief executive, Nicholas Whitlam son of Gough.   I suppose they might have "forced" Turnbull to sing the Red Flag,   but as for Turnbull  waving it......CHUCKLE

PS

I wonder if Turnbull will set up office under  a bed?

Nationals furious with Tony Abbott's ousting and demand Malcolm Turnbull take them seriously

Several Nationals MPs, "disgusted" with the way Tony Abbott has been treated, are threatening they will not work as part of a Coalition Government unless certain demands are met.

Many senior Nationals deeply dislike Malcolm Turnbull over the way he acted on carbon pricing when opposition leader in 2009, while others are pushing for the party to abandon its ministerial positions and become more independent in the Parliament.

i wonder what the nationals are up to??
