after being harassed for the 21st time I doubt he cares about their motives.
What about all the real crime thats going on while they are harassing the same person over and over for doing nothing but riding a bike, its a waste of resources and a complete waste of police and honest motorist time to be repeating the same process repeatably.
Once they check a person out the info should go into a data base so they don't waste time with the same people that is supposedly of no interest to them.
Personally I dont think they know what they are looking for or doing, all they know is they have been told to harass anyone riding a cruiser style bike or have tattoo's.

I wish that were true, Karen, but the young man in the video mentioned by Freaki was not hanging around with anyone ,and the motorcycle club whose badge he wore on his leather vest was not one proscribed as an 'outlaw gang. He was on his own and had simply pulled into a servo to refuel. I counted 4 police cars and 7 policemen around him - and after he had answered all the questions put to him by the wpc he was then made to answer the exact same ones all over again by the sergeant. He told the police that he had been pulled over 21 times and taken to court twice for supposed infringements - both of which had been thrown out of court.
He has since received an apology from (I believe) the Queensland Police Minister.
The badge he had was small. He had no patch on the back of his light weight leather vest.
They were standing in front of him asking him what is he wearing today. Silly questions.

And I'm sure the young man, although incredibly annoyed, is supportive of any effort to get rid of criminal elements.
Really? How can you know that?

it is impossible for any bike rider to go out now in peace and even more impossible for groups like Ulysses. yes there are criminal problems with bikies but more people are being hurt by dangerous drunken fools outside nightclubs. it is a smoke screen so that all sorts of legislation can pass through unnoticed imo.

.
Not true. There have been numerous reports of ordinary people on their way to work being harrassed.
An incident I have noted in another thread where a young biker was made to strip to his underwear by the side of the road. A double whammy because he had dark skin. He is being assisted by a lawyer to get some redress.

I have to assume by this new law that police in Queensland have difficulty in recognising bikkie gangs nowadays?
Glad the police in other states don't have that problem!

Yes, lets just assume the police have nothing better to do and all bikies are law abiding citizens who aren't involved in crimes or shootings.................damned if they do and damned if they don't.

They might have better things to do, but Queensland police always find the time to indulge in these extra curricular activities. It is in their DNA. It is forever written into Queensland history.

you do know that there is corruption in every avenue of employment the world over? but the majority get it right? or it would not be unusual enough to report on.
