3% of the population is also Muslim...
lots of their laws are Sharia laws and most of those I don't want recognised.... polygamy is one of their laws...
should they get the right to multiple wives?
for the record I am for Gay Marriage. I am just putting forward the argument that is being put forward.
I am off to work... will continue this debate tonight.

Super I never saw the Gallop poll but I go by the ABS in which everyone responds and would suggest that would be more accurate. Depending of course on the actual sample size the Gallop poll used?

DY: "I guess we will find out when Abbott gives him a ministry position John."
I doubt it, as Abbott will have plenty of people to choose from post September, none of then nutters.

Same-sex couples account for a very small proportion of all couple families. They comprised 0.7% in 2011, up from 0.6% in 2006,
And my apologies the ).4% was the 2001 figure I believe.

SN: " But in any case 33 000 sounds ridiculously low; are you sure that was not just for one state?"
From the ABS
Same-sex couples

LL: ".......and yes Donna, cory and tone are good mates"
Interesting LL, some evidence would be good, not that DY needs any when firing!
".......Abbott and his office think Bernardi is “a total liability” and “even the conservative wing finds him to be a complete screwball”. Abbott was not available to comment."
I would guess that being myopic is not a disadvantage when taking aim!
it is the case, Abbott only temporarily demoted his friend cory for appearances sake.
being unavailable for comment is an act of omission which backs the statement if anything.
bernardi's faction is a powerful one and will recieve ministerial responsibility as is the usual practice.
and CB, i prefer muslims to these people. they are a lot more honest and open generally speaking..
