there is a difference between happiness and gratification / pleasure.
Disagree.
Gratifation/pleasure/satisfaction are all emotions that make up the collective that define happiness.

I don't know if everyone deserves to be happy -
but I think the unshakable happiness which is central to one's being despite
whatever trials and tribulations life throws at you comes from
a belief that some higher power, something outside of yourself, is
looking after you. It doesn't have to be religious
I can't imagine how some people could survive without that belief and I have
it up to a point but not enough. I truly wish I could believe in a
benevolent God who will always care for me - but I don't. Lucky are those
who can imo

It is hard to imagine that with all of our faults and our continued sins that anyone could love us no matter what. Even true believers struggle with that. The thing with God is that he gives us a forgiveness that we don't deserve. It is a hard concept for man to "get" when we have a spirit of spite and anger and mistrust and revenge. We are judging God by our own yardstick.

Agree - it's all just chemicals and electrical responses. How much E&D drugs you body gives you will probably vary with each person. So the happier you are the more drugs you get or is it the other way round. LOL
